For Union Dues. (a) Upon request, the Employer agrees to deduct from the salaries of those of its employees who authorize it, Union membership dues. Authorization must be in writing and comply with the provisions of N.J.S.A. 53:14-15.9e of the Statutes of New Jersey. Deductions shall be made in compliance with law each pay period, and monies collected, together with records of any corrections, shall be transmitted to the treasurer of the Union by the first of each month following collection.

For Union Dues. The employer agrees to deduct Union monthly membership dues from the pay of those employees who have authorized such deductions in writing pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:14 15.9E.   • Union Dues As a condition of employment, the Hospital will deduct from each employee covered by this Agreement an amount equal to the regular monthly union dues designated by the Union. Such dues shall be deducted from the first pay of each month for full-time employees, and may be deducted from every pay for part-time employees. In the case of newly hired employees, such deductions shall commence in the month following their date of hire. The amount of the regular monthly dues shall be those authorized by the Union and the Union shall notify the Hospital of any changes therein and such notification shall be the Hospital's conclusive authority to make the deductions specified. In consideration of the deducting of union dues by the Hospital, the Union agrees to indemnify and save harmless the Hospital against any claims or liabilities arising or resulting from the operation of this Article. Dues deducted by the 15th of the month shall be remitted monthly to the Union, no later than the end of the month in which the dues were deducted.

  • CHECK-OFF UNION DUES 6.1 The Corporation shall, subject to the conditions and exceptions set forth hereunder, deduct from wages due and payable to each employee coming within the scope of this Collective Agreement, an amount equal to the prevailing dues of the Union, including initiation fees, and shall remit the same by cheque, (accompanied by a statement of deductions from individuals) to the Union Local Secretary-Treasurer, not later than fifteen (15) calendar days following the month in which the deductions are made.

The Employer agrees to provide the name, worksite phone number, and location of the new employee's xxxxxxx in the letter of hiring. Whenever the xxxxxxx is employed in the same work area as the new employee, the employee's immediate supervisor will introduce her to her xxxxxxx. The Employer agrees that a Union xxxxxxx will be given an opportunity to interview each new employee within regular working hours, without loss of pay, for thirty (30) minutes sometime during the first thirty (30) days of employment for the purpose of acquainting the new employee with the benefits and duties of Union membership and the employee's responsibilities and obligations to the Employer and the Union.
