Forms of cooperative activities. (a) Subject to their applicable laws, regulations and policies, the Parties shall xxxxxx, to the fullest extent practicable, the involvement of participants in cooperative activities under this Agreement with a view to providing comparable opportunities for participation in their scientific and tech- nological research and development activities. (b) Cooperative activities may take the following forms: — participation of Chinese research entities to RTD projects under the first activity of the framework programme and reciprocal participation of research entities established in the Community to Chinese projects in similar sectors of RTD. Such a participation is subject to the rules and procedures applicable in each Party, — pooling of RTD projects already implemented according to the procedures applicable in the RTD programmes of each Party, — visits and exchanges of scientists and technical experts, — joint organisation of scientific seminars, conferences, symposia and workshops, as well as participation of experts to those activities, — concerted actions, — exchanges and sharing of equipment and materials, — exchanges of information on practices, laws, regulations and programmes relevant to cooperation under this Agreement, — any other modality that would be recommended by the Steering Committee and deemed in conformity with the policies and procedures applicable in both Parties. The joint RTD projects shall be implemented when the participants have developed a technology management plan, as indicated in the Annex to this Agreement.

Forms of cooperative activities. 1. Subject to their respective applicable laws, regulations and policies, the Parties shall xxxxxx, to the fullest extent practicable, the involvement of participants under this Agreement with a view to providing comparable opportunities for participation in their respective scientific and technological research and development activities. 2. Cooperative activities may take the following forms: (a) participation of Indian research entities in R&D projects under the Euratom Framework Programmes of the Community for nuclear research and training activities and participation of research entities established in the Community in similar Indian programmes of R&D. Such participation is subject to the rules and procedures applicable in the R&D programmes of each Party; (b) joint R&D projects: the joint R&D projects shall be implemented only when the participants have developed a technology management plan (TMP), as indicated in the Annex A. (c) visits and exchanges of students, scientists and technical experts; (d) joint organisation of scientific seminars, conferences, symposia, workshops and short-term schools, as well as participation of experts to those activities; (e) exchanges, sharing and transfer of samples, materials, instruments and apparatus for experimental purposes; (f) exchanges of information on practices, laws, regulations and programmes relevant to cooperation under this Agreement; (g) any other modality recommended by the Steering Committee established in accordance with Article 10, and which is in conformity with the policies and procedures applicable to the Parties.
Forms of cooperative activities. (a) Cooperation may include the following activities: 1. participation of Russian entities in Community projects, in the areas of cooperative activities, and a reciprocal participation of entities established in the Community in Russian projects in those areas. Such participation shall be subject to the laws, rules, regulations and procedures in force for each Party. Projects may also include a Party's scientific and technological organisations; projects may also be undertaken in cooperation by the Agencies and official bodies of the Parties; 2. free access to, and shared use of research facilities, including installations and sites for monitoring, observa- tion and experimentation, as well as data collections, relevant to the cooperative activities; 3. visits and exchanges of scientists, engineers, or other appropriate personnel for the purposes of participating in seminars, symposia and workshops relevant to cooperation under this Agreement; 4. exchange of information on practices, laws, regulations and programmes relevant to cooperation under this Agreement; 5. other activities as may be mutually determined by the Parties in accordance with the applicable policies and programmes of the Parties. (b) Joint research projects shall proceed under this Agreement only after the participants in a project have concluded a joint technology management plan, as indicated in the Annex 1 to this Agreement which forms an integral part thereof. (c) The Parties may jointly pursue cooperative activities with third parties.

(b) Cooperative activities may take the following forms: 1. coordinated research projects and joint research projects; 2. joint task forces; 3. joint studies; 4. joint organization of scientific seminars, conferences, symposia and workshops; 5. training of scientists and technical experts; 6. exchanges or sharing of equipment and materials; 7. visits and exchanges of scientists, engineers or other appropriate personnel; 8. exchanges of scientific and technological information as well as on practices, laws, regulations and programmes relevant to cooperation under this Agreement. Where appropriate, such cooperative activities shall take place pursuant to implementing arrangements concluded between the Parties' executive agents, or their scientific and technological organizations and agencies. These arrangements may describe the nature and the duration of cooperation for a specific area or purpose, treatment of intellectual property as provided for in the Annex, funding, allocation of costs, and other relevant matters.

The Parties and their Participants shall conduct such Cooperative Activities through the conclusion of specific Implementing Arrangements or contracts. 2. Cooperative Activities may take the following forms: a. joint research and development activities; b. pooling of research and development projects, already underway in each Party, into Joint Research Activities; c. facilitation of commercially viable research and development; d. organization of scientific seminars, conferences, symposia and workshops, as well as participation of experts in those activities; e. exchanges and loans of equipment and materials; f. exchanges of information on practices, laws, regulations and programs relevant to the Cooperative Activities undertaken pursuant to this Agreement; g. funding of Cooperative Activities on the basis of equal contributions from each Party; h. demonstrations of technologies and applications development; i. visits and exchanges of scientists, technical experts and academics; and j. any other mode of cooperation jointly decided in writing by the Parties. 3. Joint Research Activities shall be implemented when the Participants concerned have developed a Technology Management Plan pursuant to the Annex to this Agreement. 4. In case of any inconsistency between this Agreement and an Implementing Arrangement or contract entered into pursuant to this Article, the Agreement shall prevail.
Forms of cooperative activities a) The Parties shall xxxxxx the participation of institutes of higher education, research and development centres and research and development entities in cooperative activities under this Agreement in conformity with their internal policies and regulations, with a view to providing opportunities for participation in their scientific and technological research and development activities. b) Cooperative activities may take the following forms: – establishment of networks and long-term institutional alliances between research centres and research and technology institutes and joint implementation of projects of common interest; – implementation of RTD projects between research and business centres in Mexico and Europe, including technology-based undertakings; – participation of Mexican research institutes in RTD projects under the existing Framework Programme and reciprocal participation of research institutes established in the Community in Mexican projects in similar fields of RTD. Such participation shall be subject to the rules and procedures applicable in the RTD programmes of each Party; – visits and exchanges of scientists, RTD policy-makers and technical experts, including scientific training through research; – joint organisation of scientific seminars, conferences, workshops and symposia, as well as participation of experts in such activities; – exchanges and sharing of equipment and materials, including shared use and/or loans of laboratory infrastructure and equipment; – exchanges of information on procedures, laws, regulations and programmes relevant to cooperation under this Agreement, exchanges of experience and studies on best practice on science and technology policy; – any other form recommended by the Steering Committee, as provided for in Article 6(b), and considered to be in conformity with the policies and procedures applicable in both Parties. Joint RTD projects shall be implemented when the participants have developed a technology management plan, as indicated in the Annex to this Agreement.
