Full Service Retirees Sample Clauses

Full Service Retirees. All service members covered by this Agreement who were hired on or before June 30, 2016 and who meet the requirements of a full service retirement, not deferred, will be offered the same health insurance as active employees but shall pay 20% of the annual premium costs of the medical plan selected (single, two person, family). This benefit will be retained until Medicare eligible. All employees Hired On/After July 1, 2016 will not be eligible for health insurance in retirement. Full time employees will participate in the Retiree Health Savings Plan (RHS) through a vendor determined by the Employer. The Employer and employee shall contribute annually to be the RHS plan according to the table below. Employees participating in the RHS plan shall be vested in the RHS after three (3) years. RHS plan participants are eligible to receive medical benefit payments upon separation from service pursuant to plan provision and in accordance with Internal Revenue Code sections. In the event of the death of a participant, the surviving spouse and/or surviving dependents are immediately eligible to maintain the account and utilize it to fund eligible medical benefits.
