Common use of GENERAL AND PERSONAL LEAVE Clause in Contracts

GENERAL AND PERSONAL LEAVE. a) Leave without pay shall be obtained by mutual consent of the Company and the Union. Each request will be reviewed on a case by case basis and will consider the requirements of the situation. Requests for such leave must be in writing and with reasonable notice where possible. A leave of absence is to be used for exceptional circumstances. Employees requiring time off due to exceptional cir- cumstances or other situations, will be granted should the request be reasonable and with notice. Requests must be made on the appropriate form and given to your Manager/Supervisor in person. Respons- es to these requests will be given within two (2) weeks of the Manager/Supervisor receiving the request.
