Holiday Pay Eligibility. In order to be eligible to receive holiday pay, a full-time employee must work his last scheduled hours on the work day prior to the holiday, his scheduled work shift the day of the holiday, if applicable, and the first scheduled work day following the holiday unless on a pre-approved absence (pre-scheduled approved absences and medically certified absences are considered as pre-approved absences.)
