Common use of Holiday Qualification Clause in Contracts

Holiday Qualification. In order to be qualified for holiday pay, an employee must have worked in the week before the week in which the holiday occurs, the week in which the holiday occurs, or in the week after the holiday occurs. In addition, the employee must work his scheduled workday before and after the holiday un­ less excused by the Employer or unless absent due to proven Illness or Injury. If the employee does not meet the foregoing, he will not be entitled to the holiday pay.
