Holidays and Annual Vacation. 12.1 Holidays and Holiday Pay - The following shall be paid holidays: (a) Employees may be eligible for up to two (2) Personal Floater Days per calendar year. Eligibility to Personal Floater Days is determined as follows: -the employee is eligible to two (2) Personal Floater Days if actively at work for at least nine (9) months in the calendar year; -the employee is eligible to one (1) Personal Floater Day if actively at work for at least three (3) months but less than nine (9) months in the calendar year; -the employee is not eligible to Personal Floater Days if actively at work for less than three (3) months in the calendar year. Personal Floater Days not taken during the calendar year are forfeited and cannot be carried over from one calendar year to another. Notwithstanding the foregoing any employee on staff as of June 5, 2012 shall be entitled to three (3) Personal Floater Days which shall be grandfathered under this Agreement. (b) When one of the nine (9) holidays listed above falls on a Saturday or Sunday and the day following is proclaimed a holiday by the Federal or Provincial Authorities, the corresponding weekday(s) proclaimed shall be deemed to be the holiday(s) for the purposes of this Agreement. (c) When December 25th falls on a Saturday or Sunday and where December 26th and 27th are proclaimed as public holidays, the entitlement to holidays for the purposes of this Agreement shall be only December 25th and 26th. (d) When January 1st falls on a Saturday or Sunday and where the preceding Friday or following Monday is proclaimed as a public holiday, then the entitlement to the holiday for the purposes of this Agreement shall be only January 1st. 12.1.1 Employees shall be compensated for the above holidays in the following manner: (a) If the holiday falls on a regular working day and the employee is not required to work, he shall be paid for eight (8) hours at his basic rate of pay. (b) If a holiday falls on an employee's scheduled day off or within his vacation, he shall receive one (1) additional day off either added to the vacation or granted at another time agreeable to both Parties. (c) If the holiday falls on a scheduled work day and the employee is required to work, he shall receive two and 46 CTV one half (2½) times his basic rate (which amount shall include his normal basic pay) for all hours worked with a minimum credit of eight (8) hours and three (3) times his basic rate for all hours worked in excess of eight (8) hours. (d) If the holiday falls on a scheduled day off and the employee is required to work, he shall receive three (3) times his basic rate for all hours worked, with a minimum credit of eight (8) hours. (e) For any of the remaining holidays received in accordance with (b), (c), or (d) above, an employee may at his option receive a day off at a mutually agreed time and this option shall be indicated on the time sheet for the week in which the holiday occurred. The payment received for each holiday as provided in (b), (c) or (d) above shall be reduced by eight (8) hours basic pay only for each day taken in lieu as provided herein. An employee leaving the employ of the Company shall receive unused credits provided herein by cheque. 12.1.2 A tour of duty beginning on the eve of a holiday and continuing into the holiday shall not be considered as work performed on the holiday and a tour of duty beginning on the holiday and continuing into the day following shall be considered as work performed on the holiday.

(b) When one 12.1.1 If any of the nine (9) holidays listed above falls days fall on a Saturday or Sunday and the day following is proclaimed a holiday by the Federal Federal, Provincial or Provincial AuthoritiesMunicipal Authority, the corresponding weekday(s) proclaimed Sunday shall be deemed to be the holiday(s) holiday for the purposes of this Agreement.
(c) When December 25th falls on 12.1.2 If a Saturday or Sunday and where December 26th and 27th are proclaimed as public holidays, the entitlement to holidays for the purposes of this Agreement shall be only December 25th and 26th.
(d) When January 1st falls on a Saturday or Sunday and where the preceding Friday or following Monday is proclaimed as a public holiday, then the entitlement to the holiday for the purposes of this Agreement shall be only January 1st.

Additionally, the employee shall be paid their basic rate for all hours worked of pay. Overtime and Unexpected Overtime shall be paid in excess of eight (8) hoursaccordance with Articles 14.6 and 14.6.1.
12.1.4 If the holiday falls on a scheduled day off the employee shall receive either one and one-half (d1½) additional days pay for that week or one extra day off if scheduled in conjunction with the days off for that week; e.g., Friday or Monday days off are Saturday and Sunday.
12.1.5 If the holiday falls on a scheduled day off and the employee is required to work, he the employee shall receive three two (32) times his the basic rate for all hours worked, worked with a minimum credit of eight (8) hours.
(e) For any of . Additionally, the remaining holidays received in accordance with (b), (c), or (d) above, an employee may at his option receive a day off at a mutually agreed time and this option shall be indicated on the time sheet for the week in which the holiday occurred. The payment received for each holiday as provided in (b), (c) or (d) above shall be reduced by paid eight (8) hours at the basic rate of pay. Overtime and Unexpected Overtime shall be paid in accordance with Articles 14.6 and 14.6.
1. Employees at their own option, shall be permitted to add one (1) day to their annual leave or be given one (1) day off with pay only for each day taken in lieu as provided herein. 12.1.6 Days off may only be scheduled on a statutory holiday for personnel on regularly rotating shift patterns.
12.1.7 The Company will endeavor to schedule employees in such a manner as to maximize the number of days off in conjunction with paid holidays.
12.1.8 The Company shall receive unused credits provided herein by cheque.
12.1.2 A tour of duty beginning endeavor to make a “best effort” to schedule employees working on the eve weekend of a holiday and continuing into the holiday shall not be considered as Statutory Holiday to work performed on the holiday and a tour of duty beginning on the holiday and continuing into the day following shall be considered as Statutory Holiday itself, if work performed on the holidayis required.

(a) Employees may be eligible for up In addition to the holidays listed above two (2) Personal Floater Days per “floating holidays” shall be granted each calendar year. In lieu of this provision, and upon the agreement of the individual employee and the Company, an employee may elect to work half of their normal shift each second Friday, between July 1st and Labour Day, without loss of regular pay.
b) In the event that “Heritage Day” is determined declared as follows: -the employee is eligible a holiday, that day as well as any other federally proclaimed holiday, shall be added to two (2the above list.
c) Personal Floater Days if actively at work for at least nine (9) months in Full-time employees who advise the calendar year; -the employee is eligible to one (1) Personal Floater Day if actively at work for at least company, upon hiring or after, providing three (3) months but less notice, that for ethnic, racial or religious reasons they hereinafter wish to observe a holiday other than nine (9) months those in the calendar year; -the employee is not eligible to Personal Floater Days if actively at work for less than three (3) months in the calendar year. Personal Floater Days not taken during the calendar year are forfeited and cannot be carried over from one calendar year to another. (b) When Article 13.1 may request that one of the nine (9) holidays listed above falls on with pay will be considered as a Saturday or Sunday normal working day and that another day be substituted and that the day following is proclaimed substituted holiday shall be treated as a holiday by the Federal or Provincial Authorities, the corresponding weekday(s) proclaimed shall be deemed to be the holiday(s) with pay for the purposes purpose of this Agreement.
(c) When December 25th falls 13.1.1 If any of the above holidays fall on a Saturday or Sunday and where December 26th and 27th are proclaimed as public holidaysSunday, the entitlement to holidays then for the purposes of this Agreement shall be only December 25th and 26th.
(d) When January 1st falls on a Saturday or Sunday and where the Agreement, the preceding Friday or the following Monday is proclaimed as a public holidaydetermined by the Company, then the entitlement to shall be the holiday for and the purposes Company shall post notice of this Agreement the substitute holiday at least two (2) weeks prior thereto. This Article shall be only January 1stnot apply to Technical, Production or News employees with respect to Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day and Canada Day.

(c) 13.1.3 If the holiday falls on a scheduled work day and the employee is required to work, he they shall receive two their basic rate plus one and 46 CTV one one-half (2½) times his basic rate (which amount shall include his normal basic pay) for all hours worked with a minimum credit of eight (8) hours and three (3) times his basic rate for all hours worked in excess of eight (8) hours.
(d) If the holiday falls on a scheduled day off and the employee is required to work, he shall receive three (31 ½) times his basic rate for all hours worked, with a minimum credit of eight (8) hourstheir standard work day.
(e) For any of 13.1.4 If the remaining holidays received in accordance with (b), (c)holiday falls on a scheduled day off, or (d) aboveduring their annual vacation, an employee may at his option receive they shall be entitled to a day off with pay in lieu or one and one-half (1 1/2) times their basic rate with a minimum credit of their standard work day, the choice to be at the Company’s discretion. If the Company grants a day off in lieu then such day shall be scheduled at a mutually agreed agreeable time and this option shall be indicated on the time sheet for the week in which the holiday occurred. The payment received for each holiday as provided in within twelve (b)12) months; and, (c) or (d) above shall be reduced by eight (8) hours basic pay only for each day if it is not taken in lieu as provided herein. An employee leaving the employ of the Company shall receive unused credits provided herein by cheque.
