Hospital Inpatient Services. All hospitalizations require prior authorization (except for maternity and Emergency admissions as specified). The Member must contact (or have the provider contact CareFirst) at least five (5) business days prior to an elective or scheduled admission to the hospital. If the admission cannot be scheduled in advance because it is not feasible to delay the admission for five (5) business days due to the Member’s medical condition, CareFirst must receive notification of the admission as soon as possible but in any event within forty-eight (48) hours following the beginning of the admission or by the end of the first business day following the beginning of the admission, whichever is later. Emergency Admissions CareFirst may not render an adverse decision solely because CareFirst was not notified of the emergency admission within the prescribed period of time after that admission if the Member’s condition prevented the hospital from determining the Member’s insurance status or CareFirst’s emergency admission requirements.

Hospital Inpatient Services. (1) ACUTE CARE When a Participating Provider obtains preauthorization and admits Members to a hospital for acute care, Contractor will cover: _ semi-private room and board; _ isolation, coronary or other special acute care units, when Medically Necessary; and _ Hospital Services and supplies necessary for treatment and furnished by Participating Hospital, such as operating and recovery rooms, blood and blood components, traction equipment and special diets. Coverage for take home prescription drugs following a period of hospitalization and dispensed by the hospital will be limited to a three-day supply. Referrals to a Non-Participating Hospital must be preauthorized by PacifiCare unless a medical emergency necessitates such admission. A preauthorized hospitalization in a Non-Participating Facility will be covered. In a medical emergency, benefits paid to a Non-Participating Facility will continue until the OMAP Member can be safely transported to one of PacifiCare's Participating Facilities for continued hospitalization. OMAP Members refusing transport to a Participating Facility when it is safe for them to transfer will forfeit continued benefits for that hospitalization and all concurrent Non-Participating Provider care.

Related to Hospital Inpatient Services

  • Development Services During the term of this Agreement, the Provider agrees to provide to or on behalf of the Port the professional services and related items described in Exhibit A (collectively, the “Development Services”) in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Agreement. The Provider specifically agrees to include at least one Port representative in any economic development negotiations or discussions in which the Provider is involved concerning (i) a port-related business prospect or (ii) a business transaction which will ultimately require Port involvement, financial or otherwise.

  • Asset Management Services (i) Real Estate and Related Services:

  • Marketing Services The Manager shall provide advice and assistance in the marketing of the Vessels, including the identification of potential customers, identification of Vessels available for charter opportunities and preparation of bids.

  • Outplacement Services The Executive shall receive reasonable outplacement services, on an in-kind basis, suitable to his position and directly related to the Executive’s Involuntary Termination, for a period of eighteen (18) months following the date of the Involuntary Termination, in an aggregate amount of cost to the Company not to exceed $50,000. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Executive shall cease to receive outplacement services on the date the Executive accepts employment with a subsequent employer. Such outplacement services shall be provided in a manner that complies with Treasury Regulation Section 1.409A-1(b)(9)(v)(A).

  • Investment Management Services (a) The Manager shall manage the Fund’s assets subject to and in accordance with the investment objectives and policies of the Fund and any directions which the Trust’s Board of Trustees may issue from time to time. In pursuance of the foregoing, the Manager shall make all determinations with respect to the investment of the Fund’s assets and the purchase and sale of its investment securities, and shall take such steps as may be necessary to implement the same. Such determinations and services shall include determining the manner in which any voting rights, rights to consent to corporate action and any other rights pertaining to the Fund’s investment securities shall be exercised. The Manager shall render or cause to be rendered regular reports to the Trust, at regular meetings of its Board of Trustees and at such other times as may be reasonably requested by the Trust’s Board of Trustees, of (i) the decisions made with respect to the investment of the Fund’s assets and the purchase and sale of its investment securities, (ii) the reasons for such decisions and (iii) the extent to which those decisions have been implemented.

  • Medical Services We do not Cover medical services or dental services that are medical in nature, including any Hospital charges or prescription drug charges.

  • Support Services HP’s support services will be described in the applicable Supporting Material, which will cover the description of HP’s offering, eligibility requirements, service limitations and Customer responsibilities, as well as the Customer systems supported.

  • Exit Services The following services will be provided upon receipt of a Termination Notice to exit from this Service.   • Training Services Training Services may include pre-packaged training Products, and/or the development or customization of training programs as requested, including Live Training, Computer Based/Multi-Media Training which encompasses Internet-Delivered Training, and/or Video Based Training.

  • Collaboration Management Promptly after the Effective Date, each Party will appoint a person who will oversee day-to-day contact between the Parties for all matters related to the management of the Collaboration Activities in between meetings of the JSC and will have such other responsibilities as the Parties may agree in writing after the Effective Date. One person will be designated by Merck (the “Merck Program Director”) and one person will be designated by Moderna (the “Moderna Program Director,”) together will be the “Program Directors”. Each Party may replace its Program Director at any time by notice in writing to the other Party. Any Program Director may designate a substitute to temporarily perform the functions of that Program Director by written notice to the other Party.
