HOUSING RATES. University housing rates are adjusted annually by the Board of Trustees. The rates are for housing only and do not include the cost of a meal plan. The 2021-22 academic year room rates and board rates will be approved by the Board of Trustees by June 2021. Rates are subject to change and may be found on the Office of Residence Life website. Specific room and meal plan charges will be reflected on the Student’s Bursar bill which will be electronically posted by the Office of the Bursar beginning in July. The University Board of Trustees reserves the right to change or modify the room rates outlined herein as economic conditions warrant.

See exceptions below: Cost Cost Waivers Offered To: Thanksgiving Break $45 Per Night • In-Season Athletes participating in conditioning/practice/competition. • Campus employees actively working during the break. • Students with a permanent address that is 350+ miles away from AIC. • Students taking a required course or internship that meets during the break • Residence Life Staff Winter Break $45 Per Night • In-Season Athletes participating in conditioning/practice/competition. • Campus employees actively working during the break. • Students taking a required course or internship that meets during the break • Residence Life Staff Spring Break $45 per night • In-Season Athletes participating in conditioning/practice/competition. • Campus employees actively working during the break. • Students with a permanent address that is 350+ miles away from AIC. • Students taking a required course or internship that meets during the break • Residence Life Staff Summer Break $45 per Night -OR- $125 per week for a double room -OR- $175 per week for a single room • Student employees working in a positionon campus that comes with an approved summer housing waiver (must be requested by the employer, and be approved by the Xxxxxx Career Development Center). • Students taking a required class/internship (waiver only applies while classes are in session).

The University strives to keep costs as low as possible while providing the best housing for Xxxxxx State University students. Charges are billed by the semester. Non-payment of Housing charges may result in immediate eviction. Housing charges include all utilities, cable television, laundry, data connectivity and a programming fee. HOUSING RATES. Rates are posted by April prior to the upcoming academic year and can be found on the FIT Residential Life Office website and in printed materials. Charges will be posted to the Resident’s account. All rates are per person. All charges must be paid by the indicated deadlines. All rates are subject to change. Rates for winter or summer housing are posted separately. All applicants for housing are required to submit a $500 nonrefundable deposit at the time of the application. The deposit will be applied to the applicant's account once the applicant is accepted into housing. The deposit is nontransferable. The $500 deposit will be returned to the applicant if the applicant is not accepted into housing. If the applicant is accepted into housing and becomes a Resident, but later withdraws from the college or from housing, the $500 deposit will not be returned.
