Common use of Illness - Immediate Family Clause in Contracts

Illness - Immediate Family. The teacher may use a maximum of ten days of sick leave for illness in the immediate family. These ten days are cumulative on an annual basis and are not on a per illness basis. Immediate family shall be defined as spouse, children, step-children, parents, mother-in-law and father-in-law and grandparents and grandchildren. Use of sick leave for others outside those listed in this paragraph may be approved at the discretion of the superintendent.
