Common use of Illness in Family Leave Clause in Contracts

Illness in Family Leave. (a) In cases of illness, serious enough to reasonably believe that a member of the immediate family may not survive, an employee shall be granted up to one (1) day leave with pay to visit the place of residence of the immediate family member. Immediate family shall be as set out in Clause 18.1(b) of this Agreement. (b) Employees may be granted up to two (2) additional days' paid leave if travel is required to visit the place of residence.
