Illness or Injury In-Line. Of-Duty Leave Any full-time regular employee shall be entitledto 25 illness- or injury-in-line-of-duty leave with pay, less any Workers’ Compensation payments, for a 26 period not to exceed ten (10) work days per fiscal year regardless of the number of illnesses or 27 injuries, nor to exceed ten (10) days per any single illness or injury when that illness or injury 28 continues or recurs from one fiscal year to succeeding fiscal years, except as provided in this 29 Agreement, when he/she has to be absent from work because of personal injury received in the 30 discharge of his/her duties. Illness-in-line-of-duty leave is intended to deal with the illnesses 31 normally known as childhood diseases such as, but not limited to, mumps, measles and chicken 32 pox. This leave does not include normal adult illnesses such as colds and influenza. This leave is 33 non-accumulative. In addition to the conditions listed below, for both illness- and injury-in-line- 34 of-duty, the Board reserves the right to request a second concurring medical opinion from a 35 physician designated by the Board. Any additional expense incurred as a result of this requirement 36 will be paid by the Board. (a) Injury-In-Line-Of-Duty Eligibility: In order to be considered for injury-in-line-of- 38 duty leave, the following conditions must be met: 39 (1) Written Testimony: The teacher must provide written testimony, in addition 40 to his/her testimony, that his/her injury was received in the line of duty. 41 (2) Written Claim: The teacher must file a written claim as outlined below, in 42 addition to the injury report claim.

  • Illness or Injury An employee may utilize accrued paid leave when he or she is unable to perform his or her work duties by reason of illness or injury, necessary medical or dental care, exposure to contagious disease under circumstances in which the health of the employees with whom the employee associates or members of the public necessarily dealt with by the employee would be endangered by the attendance of the employee, or by illness in the employee's immediate family.

  • Injury or Damage to Person or Property If either party suffers injury or damage to person or property because of an act or omission of the other party, or of others for whose acts such party is legally responsible, written notice of such injury or damage, whether or not insured, shall be given to the other party within a reasonable time not exceeding twenty-one (21) calendar days after discovery. The notice shall provide sufficient detail to enable the other party to investigate the matter.

  • Bodily Injury Bodily injury means death, disease, illness, physical and mental injury of or to an individual.

  • Injury 22.01 Where an employee is injured at work during the performance of his duties and responsibilities as a result of which he cannot complete the balance of his shift and has reported such injury to the Company, he shall be sent home and paid for the balance of his shift at his regular straight time hourly rate.

  • Property Damage Lessee shall obtain and maintain insurance coverage on all of Lessee's personal property, Trade Fixtures, and Lessee Owned Alterations and Utility Installations. Such insurance shall be full replacement cost coverage with a deductible of not to exceed $1,000 per occurrence. The proceeds from any such insurance shall be used by Lessee for the replacement of personal property, Trade Fixtures and Lessee Owned Alterations and Utility Installations. Lessee shall provide Lessor with written evidence that such insurance is in force.

  • DAMAGE TO THE PROPERTY If the property is damaged, by fire or other casualty, after the Effective Date and before the Closing, the Seller will bear the risk of loss and the Buyer may cancel this Agreement without liability and the Escrow Money shall be returned to the Buyer. Alternatively, the Buyer will have the option of purchasing the Property at the agreed-upon Purchase Price and the Seller will credit the deductible, if any, and transfer to the Buyer at Closing any insurance proceeds or Seller's claim to any insurance proceeds payable for the damage. The Seller will cooperate with and assist the Buyer in collecting any such proceeds. The Seller shall not settle any insurance claim for damage caused by casualty without the consent of the Buyer.

  • Personal Injury 22.1 The Vehicle has third party personal injury insurance cover. It is likely that any other vehicle involved in the accident also has third party personal injury insurance cover. 22.2 Depending on the circumstances of the accident, You may be entitled to claim for Your personal injury against the third party personal injury insurance of the party which is responsible for the accident. Details of the third party personal injury insurer for the Vehicle are set out in the registration details of the Vehicle.

  • Injury Pay If an employee is injured on the job and his supervisor excuses him from further duty for the balance of his shift, the employee's regular rate of pay shall continue for the balance of that shift and there shall be no deduction from sick leave or other credits.
