In-School Substitution. In-school substitution at Fitch High School, i.e. teacher requested coverage for any part of a school day, including but not limited to unexpected illness, doctor appointments, or family emergency and not in lieu of a substitute teacher, shall be handled in the following manner.

In-School Substitution. 1. Any high school teacher who accepts the responsibility of supervising or teaching a class or seminar of an absent teacher at the request of an administrator shall be paid at a rate of 1/4 of the substitute teacher’s daily rate per class in addition to his/her regular pay. Any junior high school teacher who accepts the responsibility of supervising or teaching a class of an absent teacher at the request of an administrator shall be paid at a rate of 1/6 of the substitute teacher’s daily rate per class in addition to his/her regular pay. A teacher will not be asked to substitute during a currently assigned period/duty until all teachers with preparations have been asked. Such teacher shall not be required to accept the administrator's request and nothing herein shall preclude informal agreements among teachers whereby teachers substitute for another without additional compensation if approved by the principal. Any elementary teacher who substitutes in another teacher’s classroom while his/her students are at an assigned class, (i.e., music, physical education) will be compensated at the District’s substitute rate prorated which is determined by the number of classroom minutes covered divided by the number of minutes in the student day multiplied by the higher substitute rate.
In-School Substitution. All teachers who are required by their principal to serve as an internal teacher substitute, which results in the loss of the teacher’s planning period, shall be compensated at the rate of $45.00 per hour.
In-School Substitution. When it becomes necessary to assign building staff to substitute for an absent Teacher, the building principal will first attempt to utilize non-teaching staff. In the event a Teacher is required or volunteers with the approval of the Superintendent or his/her designee to teach or supervise a classroom as a substitute for another Teacher during his/her planning and conference time, the Teacher shall be paid a prorated stipend of $40.14 per hour for the 22-23 school year (prorated by actual minutes of substitution). No Teacher shall be required to perform such paid substitution more than two and one-half (2-1/2) hours per semester at elementary schools and four (4) hours per semester at the Middle School and High School. In the event a Teacher accumulates paid substitutions of eight (8) hours at the middle school/high school or five (5) hours at the elementary school, the Teacher will receive a payment of $150.00 (paid in the 1st payroll in July) and one additional sick leave day.   • Teaching Staff Assigned to More Than One Building Each Educator who is assigned to more than one building will be evaluated by the appropriate administrator where the individual is assigned most of the time.   • Prohibition Against Selecting and Installing Products Containing Hazardous Materials The Contractor shall not select, install or otherwise incorporate any products or materials containing Hazardous Materials within the boundaries of the Site. The term “saltwater immersion” shall mean a pressure-treated wood that is used for construction purposes or facilities that are partially or totally immersed in saltwater.
