Planning and Conference Time. 1. Elementary teachers shall have a weekly minimum preparation time of 200 minutes, and a minimum daily planning time of thirty (30) minutes.
2. Secondary teachers shall have one (1) full period per day for preparation and conference.
Planning and Conference Time a. Each employee shall have a minimum of three hundred (300) minutes per week of planning and conference time. Two hundred twenty (220) (200) minutes of the three hundred (300) minutes minimum shall be set aside on the schedule exclusively for teacher directed planning. Employees shall not leave school grounds without prior approval of the building principal. Student supervision shall not be assigned during this conference and planning time, but professional staff meetings may be scheduled when a portion of this time is after student dismissal.
b. The teacher work day at elementary buildings shall be scheduled in order to create a forty (40) minute block of planning and conference time during the elementary work day. The teacher will have one Teacher Based Team Meeting per week. Morning and afternoon duties shall be assigned in as equitable a manner as feasible. The division of those duties shall be established by a joint committee at each building, where applicable by grade level. Parent meetings which require the attendance of teachers may also be scheduled during this forty (40) minute block.
c. The three hundred (300) minutes of planning and conference time shall be scheduled in time blocks of at least twenty (20) minutes, except for one block of time per day which may be less than twenty (20) minutes.
Planning and Conference Time. In addition, all teachers shall be normally provided with a minimum of two hundred (200) minutes of planning-conference time per week. It is recognized that because of special scheduling problems, the above provision cannot always be reached at all times in the elementary buildings, but over the course of the year each teacher should average at least two hundred (200) minutes per week.
Planning and Conference Time. Planning and conference time will be provided for each professional staff member. Each member shall have two hundred and fifteen (215) minutes each week for planning and conference. If a teacher is directed by a school administrator to perform other duties on his/her regularly scheduled planning time in excess of 30 minutes, said teacher, if requested, shall receive compensation of $18.00. Teachers may voluntarily exchange planning periods with no compensation required by the Board, provided the approval of the building principal is obtained. When no substitute teacher is available for an elementary classroom, the students in this classroom may be divided among other teachers. Substitute teacher pay for this day will be divided equally among the affected teachers.
Planning and Conference Time. Each bargaining unit member shall receive daily planning/conference time in accordance with the following schedule:
A. Elementary School -- At least forty (40) consecutive minutes (inclusive of student passing time) per day and in no event less than two hundred (200) minutes (inclusive of student passing time) within the work week to be allotted over the course of the week within the student day. In addition, the member will receive no less than thirty (30) consecutive minutes within the work week from outside the student day but inside the member’s work day.
B. Middle School -- At least forty (40) consecutive minutes during the student day.
C. High School -- At least forty (40) consecutive minutes during the student day.
D. Part-Time Employees -- Preparation time for part-time employees shall be prorated in accordance with their scheduled hours.
E. Upon request of a bargaining unit member assigned to the gifted and talented program, larger blocks of time may be permitted provided the two hundred (200) minutes are met per work week.
F. For purposes of this Section, planning time means time spent in assessing student work or needs or creating classroom plans; conference time means time spent in teacher/teacher, teacher/student, teacher/parent, and/or teacher/administrator conferences. Conference time is not to be construed as training time and training will not occur.
X. A bargaining unit member who is a regular education, as opposed to a special education, teacher will not be scheduled to attend an IEP meeting or other special education-related conference during his/her normal planning time more than twice per month. This provision does not apply if the teacher agrees to attend more than two (2) such meetings/conferences in a month.
Planning and Conference Time. 1. Full-time (3/4 time or more) certificated members of the bargaining unit within the elementary buildings shall be provided no less than two hundred forty (240) minutes per week as planning and conference time, with a daily uninterrupted block of time of at least forty (40) minutes per day.
2. Full-time (3/4 time or more) certificated members of the bargaining unit who teach grades seven through twelve shall be provided a minimum of one (1) planning/conference period per day.
3. Part-time (1/2 time to 3/4 time) certificated members of the bargaining unit will receive planning and conference time in pro-ration to full-time status. Bargaining unit members employed less than one-half (1/2) time shall not receive any planning or conference time.
Planning and Conference Time a. Elementary (K-4) Members of the bargaining unit within the elementary buildings shall be provided no less than two hundred (200) minutes per week as planning and conference time.
b. Middle School (5-8)
1. Members of the bargaining unit teaching grades five (5) and six (6) shall be provided no less than two hundred (200) minutes per week as planning and conference time.
2. Members of the bargaining unit who teach grades seven (7) and eight (8) shall be provided a minimum of one (1) planning and conference period per day.
c. High School (9-12)
1. Members of the bargaining unit who teach grades nine (9) through twelve (12) shall be provided a minimum of one (1) planning and conference period per day.
x. Xxxx planning and conference time shall not be scheduled during the time immediately preceding and/or following the student contact day.
Planning and Conference Time. A. Each full-time elementary teacher shall have a daily preparation/conference time consisting of a minimum of forty (40) minutes for each day of work. Preschool teachers will follow any federal or state laws for scheduling of their planning time.
B. Each full-time secondary teacher shall have a daily minimum preparation/conference time of one (1) period for each day of work.
C. Part-time teachers shall have a daily preparation/conference time pro-rated according to their contract day.
D. No planned in-services or staff meetings will be scheduled during these times:
Planning and Conference Time. The schedule for each full-time equivalent classroom teacher who is assigned to a school with a teacher day of six hours or longer exclusive of lunch period, shall include at least two hundred (200) minutes per week for instructional planning during the student day, and shall be uninterrupted. Only with teacher agreement shall said instructional planning time be used for meetings and/or conferences, other than IEP and evaluation meetings. The Board and Association recognize that adequate planning time within the student school day is essential to good instruction and shall work to provide adequate planning time within the operational and financial constraints of the District.

3. Intervention specialists will establish a maximum of two (2) case management periods in their weekly schedule. The intervention specialist will determine the periods on a weekly basis during co-planning sessions and will document when those periods will be taken with an email sent to their building principal, the co-teacher(s) and the special education director the previous week. Intervention specialists are expected to be in assigned classrooms at all other times.
