District administration will have the discretion for placement of new staff on the salary schedule for positions that are hard to fill or to match experience levels of individuals coming from districts with non-compressed salary schedules. ● Vertical steps on the schedule represent teaching experience. A fractional part of a year’s experience of one-half or more shall be compensated for at the next increment level. ● 20 Wabaunsee PDC points are equivalent to 1 credit. ● KPERS retirees who are new to the district may bring in up to 15 years of experience if the board pays the KPERS assessment.
