Initial Placement on the Children s Center Salary Schedule Newly-hired Children’s Center unit members shall be placed on the applicable Children’s Center Salary Schedule. Unit members shall furnish information and documentation to Human Resources showing previous experience which would affect their initial step and column placement. The newly hired unit member will be placed on the salary schedule based no higher than step three (3), which is the highest entering step for Children’s Center unit members. Step and column credit will not be granted until Human Resources receives supporting documentation for the education/work experience. A unit member’s placement will be increased, with retroactive application for the first six months of employment only, if additional documentation is submitted prior to the end of the six-month period. If the documentation is furnished after the end of the six-month period, a salary schedule adjustment will be processed as any other vertical or horizontal movement on the schedule. There shall be no retroactive payment. Upon request by the unit member, Human Resources shall explain the unit member’s placement to the unit member.

  • Placement on the Salary Schedule All teachers shall be placed on the appropriate step in the salary schedule taking into consideration the following:

  • Placement on the Secondary Recall List (a) Regular status employees who are separated from the service of the State in good standing (meaning no record of economic disciplinary sanctions in his/her personnel file) by layoff or transferred outside State government due to intergovernmental transfer shall, in addition to their right to be placed on the Agency Layoff List, be given the option of electing placement on the Secondary Recall List by geographic area for other AFSCME-represented bargaining units which utilize the same or successor classification from which they were laid off. The term of eligibility of candidates placed on the list shall be two (2) years from the date of layoff. When an employee is prohibited from participating in the secondary recall process due to the presence of an economic disciplinary sanction in his/her personnel file, that employee may request and shall be placed on the Secondary Recall List for the remainder of the two (2) years eligibility following layoff once the discipline has remained in the file for the length of time required by the agency’s contract.

  • ETU Picnic Day In accordance with picnic day provision the Company shall require from an employee proof of picnic day attendance, ie ETU ticket purchase before payment will be made for the day. A ticket purchased in relation to an alternative union picnic day is not sufficient for the purposes of payment. Where possible no work shall be scheduled on the first Monday of December each year which is the Annual Building Industry Picnic Day.

  • INJURY ON THE JOB When an employee is injured on the job, there shall be no deduction from the employee's pay for the day in which the employee was injured and reported for medical care. When such employee returns to work following the injury, and is certified as ready and able to perform all regular duties, but requires medical treatment as a result of the same injury, the Employer shall adjust the work schedules without penalty to the Employer, to provide both the time for medical care and the number of hours of work for which the employee is regularly scheduled.

  • Advancement on the Salary Schedule 5.8.1 When a regular or term employee obtains an academic, professional, trades or technical credential, or equivalent, appropriate to their subject area, and the degree, credential or equivalent has not been credited for initial step placement pursuant to Article 5.6 Initial Placement, the employee may apply to Human Resources to have their step placement reviewed.

  • Children/Grandchildren An employee may purchase life insurance in the amount of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) as a package for all eligible children/grandchildren (as defined in Section 2A2 and 2A3 of this Article). For a new employee, child/grandchild coverage requires evidence of insurability if application is made after the initial effective date of coverage as defined in this Article, Section 5C. An employee who becomes eligible for insurance may purchase child/grandchild coverage without evidence of insurability if application is made within thirty (30) days of the initial effective date as defined in this Article. Child/grandchild coverage commences fourteen (14) calendar days after birth.

  • Picnic Day 47.1 The Parties agree that Building Industry Picnic Day will continue to apply during the life of this Agreement in accordance with the following:
