Inmate Accounts. The County shall establish and maintain a financial account for each inmate and shall credit to such account money received from each inmate or from the Contract Agency on behalf of each inmate. The County shall make disbursements from such accounts by debiting such accounts in accurate amounts for items purchased by the inmate for personal needs in accordance with the policies of the Xxxxx County Jail. Disbursements shall be made in limited amounts as are reasonably necessary for personal maintenance. The County shall remit a check to the Contract Agency in the name of each inmate eligible for reimbursement in the following situations: Termination or expiration of this Agreement, an inmate’s return to the Contract Agency, inmate death or inmate escape.
Inmate Accounts. SCORE shall establish and maintain a non-interest-bearing account for each Contract Agency Inmate. Upon returning custody of a Contract Agency Inmate to the Contract Agency, SCORE shall transfer the balance of that Contract Agency Inmate’s account that is not subject to charges, to the Contract Agency Inmate or to the Contract Agency in the form of cash, check, debit card or other agreed upon method in the name of the Contract Agency Inmate.

The County shall ensure family members and others have a reasonable process to add funds to a City Inmate’s account, Upon returning custody of a City Inmate to the City, the County shall transfer the balance of that Inmate’s account that is not subject to charges, to the Inmate or to the City in the form of a check or a debit card in the name of the Inmate. In the event the County contracts with a company/business that furnishes technology for wireless inmate account crediting (such as Keefee or JPAY) the City may allow the County (or County’s contracted representative) to install the equipment necessary for use of the system. The City shall not be financially responsible for any aspect of the system, including but not limited to installation or maintenance costs. The City shall not receive any compensation or profits for such a system.

At either the termination of this Agreement, the inmate’s death, release from incarceration, or return to either the City or indefinite release to the court, the inmate’s money shall be transferred to either the inmate’s account in care of the City, at such time the City shall be accountable to the inmate for said fund, or to the inmate.

Sunnyside shall establish and maintain an account for each inmate received from CITY and shall credit to such account all money which is received and shall make disbursements, debiting such accounts in accurate amounts for the inmate’s personal needs. Disbursements shall be made in limited amounts as are reasonably necessary for personal maintenance. Sunnyside shall be accountable to CITY for such inmate funds. At either the termination of this Agreement, the inmate’s death, and release from incarceration or return to either CITY or indefinite release to the court, the inmate’s money shall be refunded in the form of a pre-paid debit card or check issued to the inmate at the time of their release or transfer.
