Introduction / Principles. This is an Agreement between the Cadbury Schweppes Confectionery Stream group of companies in Europe, and its employee representatives on the provision of consultation and information sharing on transnational matters affecting employees within the Stream in Europe. Consultation means the exchange of view and establishment of dialogue between employees’ representatives and the central management (as defined in the Transnational Information and Consultation of Employees Act 1996. Republic of Ireland). Cadbury Schweppes Confectionery Stream group of companies in Europe and “Stream” shall mean the division of Cadbury Schweppes engaged in the manufacture and sale of confectionery products, operating in Europe and listed within this Agreement. The management and the representatives agree to cooperate in a spirit of constructive dialogue and exchange of ideas. By the provision of information and discussion both agree to actively participate in the forum. Members of the Forum are committed to acting in the best interests of the Stream and its employees. In general, it is agreed that employee communications and involvement are best served within each of the Stream business and close to the workplace. The Forum shall not undermine existing consultative or information sharing channels at a local level. Forum meetings will be undertaken within the spirit of both the Directive (EU Directive 94/45 EC of 22 nd September 1994) and the principles of this Agreement.
