Job Descriptions Committee. Prior to August 31, 2019, a committee shall be named by the union and district to begin assessing all collective bargaining unit job descriptions. In addition to reviewing and revising all job descriptions, a good faith effort will be made to determine work that generally could be contracted out; versus union work in normal circumstances. The final job descriptions created by this joint committee shall be subject to ratification by the union membership and approval by the Associate Superintendent of Human Resources and Operations. The final job descriptions will be an appendix to this collective bargaining agreement. The committee shall nominate and unanimously approve a “tie-breaking” member or “mediator”` (when and if needed). The mediator may be known for community leadership, technical expertise, relationships with both parties, etc. In the unlikely event that the two parties cannot come to an agreement in regards to a job description, this “tie-breaking” member will be the vote to determine the final outcome.
