JOB POSTING AND BIDDING. 10.1 When a new job is created or a job becomes vacant, the City agrees to post notice of the same on bulletin boards within fourteen (14) calendar days. Said notice shall be sent to all department heads and stewards at least one working day prior to the vacancy's posting date. Postings shall have a minimum duration of five (5) working days unless the City and the Union agree differently. Employees who are interested must make written application. Every effort will be made to fill said job or vacancy on the basis of seniority from the bargaining unit, if applicant has the necessary qualifications and experience to perform the duties.
