JOURNEYMAN WINDOW CLEANER. An Employee who has worked for one (1) year in the Window Cleaning Industry and who is able to perform all phases of Window Cleaning, including swing stage and bosun chair work (including the erection and dismantling of same); ladder work and xxxxxx pole work; who has a knowledge of all Safety Regulations and who works in accordance with same; who is willing to teach "Beginners" and "Improvers" in a responsible manner. It is agreed that all present Journeyman Window Cleaners will retain Journeyman Window Cleaners status and continue to be paid the Journeyman Window Cleaners wage rate. 4:10 The Classifications defined in 4:07, 4:08 and 4:09 shall be decided by the number of months an Employee has been a Member of the Union working in the Industry. An Employee, who has no Union standing but who has worked in the Industry elsewhere, shall be classified according to his ability and experience.

  • BEREAVEMENT/TANGIHANGA LEAVE 15.1 The employer shall approve special bereavement leave on pay for an employee to discharge any obligation and/or to pay respects to a deceased person with whom the employee has had a close association. Such obligations may exist because of blood or family ties or because of particular cultural requirements such as attendance at all or part of a Tangihanga (or its equivalent). The length of time off shall be at the discretion of the employer.

  • Volunteer Firefighting Leave Leave without pay will be granted when an employee who is a volunteer firefighter is called to duty to respond to a fire, natural disaster or medical emergency.

  • Pregnancy and Parental Leaves (a) Pregnancy and Parental Leaves shall be granted in accordance with the Employment Standards Act.

  • Shift Rotation Routine shift rotation is not an approach to staffing endorsed by the Employer. Except for emergency situations where it may be necessary to provide safe patient care, shift rotation will not be utilized without mutual consent. If such an occasion should ever occur, volunteers will be sought first. If no one volunteers, the Employer will rotate shifts on an inverse seniority basis until the staff vacancies are filled.

  • Pregnancy Disability Leave (PDL) - An employee is eligible for continuation of MPS in accordance with applicable law.

  • Parental and Pregnancy Disability Leave A. Parental leave will be granted to the employee for the purpose of bonding with their newborn, adoptive or xxxxxx child. Parental leave may extend up to six (6) months, including time covered by the family medical leave, during the first year after the child's birth or placement. Leave beyond the period covered by family medical leave and pregnancy disability may only be denied by the Employer due to operational necessity. Such denial may be grieved beginning at the top internal step of the grievance procedure in Article 30.

  • Maternity Adoption and Parental Leave The following in part reflects the provisions of the Employment Standards Act on these matters. In all cases of dispute, and where the Act as amended from time to time is superior, the provisions of the Act will prevail.

  • Childrearing Leave 1. Any teacher who has acquired tenure and is expecting a child, or whose spouse is expecting a child, or who has documented plans in the immediate future to adopt or xxxxxx a child of preschool age or a preteen child with special needs or who is non-English speaking, may be granted a long-term leave without pay for child-rearing purposes up to two (2) full semesters or a reasonably requested portion thereof within the same school year.

  • Pregnancy and Parental Leave (a) Pregnancy/Parenting leave will be granted in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Standards Act, except where amended in this provision.
