c. A guaranteed $2.00 per hour increase on January 1, 2024 to the Total Package with an additional $1.00 increase if hours reported by the Northern California Glaziers, Architectural Metal and Glassworkers Pension reaches 3.4 million hours from July 1, 2022-June 30, 2023. Secondly, the increase required each January 1 of this Agreement shall be utilized to cover any hourly cost increase in Health & Welfare. Any remaining annual increase amount that was not utilized to fund Pension and/or Health & Welfare shall be allocated to wages unless the annual hours worked and/or reported to the Northern California Glaziers Pension Trust Fund under this Agreement the preceding year (July 1 through June 30) were less than 2,450,000. In the event that the previous year’s hours worked and/or reported to the Northern California Glaziers Pension Trust Fund under this Agreement are less than 2,450,000, the remainder of the increase required each January 1 of this Agreement, that was not utilized to fund Pension and/or Health & Welfare, shall be deferred and held in deferment until such time as the previous year’s hours exceed 2,450,000. In the event that the previous year’s hours meet or exceed 2,450,000, all amounts being held in deferment shall be added to the increase due that January 1 and those amounts in excess of any required to fund the Pension and/or Health & Welfare that year shall be allocated to wages. Journeyman Xxxxxxx. All applicants for employment who have four or more years' experience in the trade, are residents of the geographical area constituting the normal construction labor market, have passed a Journeyman Xxxxxxx'x examination given by a duly constituted Inside Construction Local Union of the I.B.E.W. or have been certified as a Journeyman Xxxxxxx by any Inside Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee, and who have been employed in the trade for a period of at least six months in the last four years in the geographical area covered by the collective bargaining agreement. Group I status shall be limited to one local union at a time. An applicant who qualifies for Group I in a local union shall be so registered electronically and remain on Group I in that local union unless and until the applicant designates another local union as his or her Group I local union. If an applicant qualifies for Group I status in a local union other than his or her home local union and designates that local as his or her Group I local union, the business manager of the new Group I status local union shall by electronic means notify the business manager of the applicant’s former Group I status local union.
