Jury Duty and Court Service. 1. When a teacher is called for jury service, he/she shall give his/her immediate supervisor proper notice and the Board of Education will reimburse the teacher for the difference between his/her regular pay and the amount he/she received for court services. It is the responsibility of the teacher to collect for his/her court services. 2. When a teacher is subpoenaed to serve as a witness in a court action involving the Board of Education or arising out of his/her employment, he/she shall be given a leave of absence with pay for the time required for such court appearance. Any witness fees resulting from court service shall be paid to the Board.
