Jury Duty. A. An employee shall be allowed such time off without loss of compensation as is required in connection with mandatory jury duty. Jury Duty. A. An employee shall (a) Request for an absence due to court service must be allowed accomplished through a Request for Leave form. It must be submitted to the Assistant Xxxx/Xxxx prior to the absence.
(b) Court service is defined as a situation in which a faculty member is subpoenaed to appear in court as a witness or jury member but not as a defendant against criminal or civil charges, or through legal actions brought by the faculty member against others.
(c) A faculty member subpoenaed for court service will not have the time away from work charged against personal leave and will not lose pay due to this absence. Court reimbursement of personal expenses such time off without loss of compensation as is required in connection with mandatory jury dutytransportation, parking costs, and meals made to faculty subpoenaed for court service need not be reported to the College. Upon receiving notice of jury duty an employee shall immediately provide a copy A faculty member excused or discharged from court service before the end of the notice normal scheduled work day shall report to his/her supervisorwork as soon as practicable following being excused or discharged.
B. (d) No allowance of pay will be made if summoned to court as a result of an infraction against the law or paying fines unless the faculty member elects to take personal leave.
(e) If payment is made serving as a jury member, interpreter, or as an expert witness for such time offthe prosecution, plaintiff, or defendant outside of normal scheduled work hours, and receiving compensation other than personal expenses for this service, the employee is required to remit compensation will be retained by the faculty member.

Jury Duty. A. 1. 6. An employee who is called to jury duty will not be subject to working his/her full graveyard or swing shift if there is not a minimum of 10 hours before or after assigned jury duty. If there is less than 10 hours between the employee's regular end of a shift and customary shift, management will endeavor to temporarily reassign the employee to a work shift that more closely coincides with the hours the employee is required to serve on start of jury duty, including any necessary travel time, subject an employee will be permitted to leave his/her shift early to allow for a minimum break of 10 hours. If there is less than 10 hours between the following:

Jury Duty. A. An If an employee is selected for jury duty, the summons should be obeyed. Failure to do so may cause the employee to be considered in contempt of court. While serving on jury duty, an employee will be granted administrative leave (time off with full pay) provided the employee reimburses the Appointing Authority for the jury duty pay received from the court. Alternatively, an employee may, at the employee's discretion, use annual leave when serving on a jury and keep the jury duty pay. Jury Duty. A. An employee who is required to report physically for jury duty on a day they are scheduled to work shall be allowed entitled to jury duty leave with pay. Jury duty leave shall not be authorized unless supported by written documentation (such time off without loss documentation as jury summons and/or letter of compensation request to serve). For serve or attend for the purposes set out above, provided that at least one-half of this section, "jury fees" means fees received for jury duty excluding payment for mileage, parking, meals, or other out-of-pocket expenses.

Jury Duty. A. 1. Jury Duty. A. 11.1 In the event full-time employees are summoned for jury duty, they shall receive straight time pay for the hours required to be absent from their currently scheduled work hours due to such jury duty. Employees who perform jury duty for only a portion of their regular scheduled workday are expected to report to work when excused or released by the court. D. For the purposes of this section, "jury fees" means fees received for jury duty excluding payment for mileage, parking, meals, or other out-of-pocket expenses.

Jury Duty. A. An Employees who are summoned for jury duty and who are required to serve as a juror, during his/her regular working hours, will be reimbursed by the County for the difference between his/her jury pay and his/her regular straight time hourly pay. In no case will reimburse of eight (8) hours per day nor will the total reimbursement be in excess of forty-five (45) scheduled working days per calendar year.

Jury Duty. A. 36.1 The Red Cross realizes that it is the obligation of all U.S. citizens to serve on a jury and appear as a witness when summoned to do so. All employees will be allowed time off to perform such civic service as required by applicable law. If payment 36.2 An employee serving on jury duty will be paid his or her salary at the regular rate of pay (not including overtime or special forms of compensation such as iticentives, commissions, shift differentials, or bonuses) for up to ten (10) days of jury duty unless otherwise required by applicable law. Time serving on a jury is made for such not charged against accumulated paid time off, off benefits. Employees do not have to remit jury duty pay to the Red Cross.
36.3 An employee required to appear as a witness in court because the employee is required to remit to suing, being sued, or serving as a non-state witness in a non-Red Cross North Central Region Biomed related case may have the State jury fees received. If an employee elects to use accrued vacation leave or compensating absences counted against accumulated paid time off while benefits or may request leave without pay, unless pay is otherwise required by applicable law. However, exempt employees will be paid their full salary for any week in which they perform authorized work for the Red Cross. Leave without pay requires supervisory approval. The maximum approved leave without pay for witness leave is five (5) days, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

D. An employee shall be allowed time off without loss of compensation if approved by the department head or designee for voluntary jury duty such as grand jury. If approved by the department, paragraphs B. court and C. apply.
E. For the purpose of this section, an employee summoned are expected to jury duty may be required to adjust their work shift to an eight (8) hour schedule.
F. An employee summoned to jury duty who does not serve for a full day or who is placed on "on-call" status shall return to work on any day or partial day of at least four (4) hours when services are not required by the court.
36.5 The Employer will provide employees with the same Jury Duty that is provided to complete his/her scheduled workday if reasonable time remains for such return. An employee may not be required to report back to work if he/she feels there is not reasonably enough time left other employees in the workday Region, any benefit improvements or reductions will be applied on the effective date of the change. a. Employees are responsible to inform the District of the health connected reason for any absence as promptly as possible. An employee may, at any time prior to the expiration of the paid for sick leave request, in writing, on a PH-43, an appropriate unpaid leave of absence without pay or benefits for medical reasons of up to forty-five (45) working days. Her/his position will not be posted during her/his forty-five (45) working day non-paid leave. A physician's certification may be required by the District prior to granting the leave.
b. Should extensions of the non-paid leave without pay or benefits terminating at the end of the school year be required, a renewal application, along with the physician's certification must be submitted prior to the extension being considered.
c. In the event an employee, who is absent on leave which terminated at the end of the school year recovers, and is released by the attending physician so as to return to work shift before the expiration of the leave, then said employee shall have to notify the Department of Human Resources, in writing, of this intention to return. Such application must be supported by a report from the attending physician certifying that utilizes the employee is fully recovered and capable of performing the functions and duties of her/his position. This notice shall be given as much in advance of the employee's classification; andintended return as possible.
