Language Assistance Measures. Describe any language assistance services, such as bilingual personnel and interpreter services, cost of services, point of accessing the services, and how the services are delivered. Describe efforts and solicitations to secure the services of a Provider to provide interpretation or translation services, or other services (e.g. LCC Provider) that will assist the Provider in meeting the Goal. Describe the use of services from available minority community organizations; minority business groups; local, state, and federal minority business offices; and other organizations that provide assistance in meeting the Goal.

Language Assistance Measures. The following general language assistance measures are reasonable and achievable for our organization at this time: o Translating public notices posted in the local paper and at stations, stops, and in vehicles into any languages that meet the safe harbor threshold in Factor 1. o Vital documents—such as brochures with service times and routes—are translated into Spanish across the entire service area, and available in our facilities, doctor’s offices and shopping centers. o Making a concerted effort to inform LEP persons of available language assistance via staff, broadcast media, relationship‐building with organizations, and our website. o Posting vital bulletin board information and disseminating community surveys in various languages. o Providing translation and interpretive services when appropriate (upon request or predetermined) at meetings. o Determining how best to take public involvement to LEP groups directly, including through small DocuSign Envelope ID: 3FDDF183‐DE0C‐45F5‐AE17‐0B9CF99E613F group meetings. o Language line translation services at our call center. o Where possible, utilizing or hiring staff who speak a language other than English and can provide competent language assistance. We will not ask community‐based organizations (CBO) to provide, or serve as, interpreters at our meetings. Relying upon CBOs in that capacity could raise ethical concerns. If a CBO decides (on its own) to translate any materials for its constituents, or bring interpreters it trusts to our meetings, we will not object. That is their right. o Using language identification flashcards to determine appropriate services. o Establishing a process to obtain feedback on our language assistance measures.

  • Regulatory Assistance Provider will permit regulators with jurisdiction over BFA or any BFA Recipient to examine Provider’s activities relating to its performance under this Agreement and the Services. Subject to Section 17.6, Provider will cooperate and provide all information reasonably requested by the regulator in connection with any such examination and provide reasonable assistance and access to all equipment, records, and systems requested by the regulator relating to the Services.

  • Audit Assistance Each of the Parties and their respective Subsidiaries are or may be subject to regulation and audit by a Governmental Authority (including a Taxing Authority), standards organizations, customers or other parties to contracts with such Parties or their respective Subsidiaries under applicable Law, standards or contract provisions. If a Governmental Authority, standards organization, customer or other party to a contract with a Party or its Subsidiary exercises its right to examine or audit such Party’s or its Subsidiary’s books, records, documents or accounting practices and procedures pursuant to such applicable Law, standards or contract provisions, and such examination or audit relates to the Services, then the other Party shall provide, at the sole cost and expense of the requesting Party, all assistance reasonably requested by the Party that is subject to the examination or audit in responding to such examination or audits or requests for Information, to the extent that such assistance or Information is within the reasonable control of the cooperating Party and is related to the Services.

  • Directory Assistance Service 8.3.1 Directory Assistance Service provides local end user telephone number listings with the option to complete the call at the caller's direction separate and distinct from local switching.

  • Emergency Assistance Both Parties shall exercise due diligence to avoid or mitigate an Emergency to the extent practical in accordance with applicable requirements imposed by the Standards Authority or contained in the PJM Tariffs and NYISO Tariffs. In avoiding or mitigating an Emergency, both Parties shall strive to allow for commercial remedies, but if commercial remedies are not successful or practical, the Parties agree to be the suppliers of last resort to maintain reliability on the system. For each hour during which Emergency conditions exist in a Party’s Balancing Authority Area, that Party (while still ensuring operations within applicable Reliability Standards) shall determine what commercial remedies are available and make use of those that are practical and needed to avoid or mitigate the Emergency before any Emergency Energy is scheduled in that hour.
