Layoff and Recall Process. (1) No layoff will occur without prior consultation with the Union. (2) Any employee affected by a layoff shall receive written notification prior to layoff. (3) In the event an employee is laid off, the employee will remain on the recall list for a period of one (l) year from the discontinuation of her/his position. (4) If the employee(s) position is reinstated within the time period noted in (3) above, the employee will be recalled to her/his position.
