Leave for Court Attendance. A member summoned for court attendance or directed by the University to attend (e.g. jury duty or as a court witness), shall suffer no loss of salary while so attending. Remuneration paid to the member by the court must be remitted to the University within thirty (30) days of receipt.
Leave for Court Attendance. The Employer shall grant a leave of absence with pay to any Employee subpoenaed or summoned to appear:
(a) on behalf of the Employer; or
(b) as a witness in a criminal prosecution, civil proceeding or xxxxxxx’s inquest; or
(c) in any proceeding in which the Employer is a party; or
(d) in any proceeding in which the Employee is called upon to testify in her/his role as an Employee of the Employer; or
(e) In any proceeding in which the Employee is required to appear before any government body, including but not limited to Legislative Council, Legislative Assembly, or any committee thereof that is authorized by law to compel the attendance of a witness before it.
