Leave for Other Reasons. At the discretion of the Employer, special leave with pay may be granted when circumstances not directly attributable to the employee including illness in the immediate family, scheduling of medical or dental appointments prevents the employee reporting for duty. Such leave will not be unreasonably denied. (a) The Employer may at its discretion grant leaves of absence without pay to an employee. Such leave will not be unreasonably denied.
