Common use of Leave of Absence for Public Duties Clause in Contracts

Leave of Absence for Public Duties. Upon application in writing by the employee to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Employer shall grant a leave of absence without pay to allow an employee to be a candidate in a municipal, provincial or federal election. In the event that the employee is elected to municipal, provincial, or federal office, the employee shall be granted a leave of absence without pay for the employee’s term of elected office.
