Sick Leave During Leave of Absence and Layoff. (a) When an employee is given paid vacation or special paid leave of absence, he/she shall receive sick leave credit for the period of such absence on his/her return to work.

Sick Leave During Leave of Absence and Layoff. When an employee is granted leave of absence without pay or receives layoff, and such absence exceeds thirty (30) days, the employee shall maintain but not accrue sick leave credits.

If the employee is unable to return to work upon expiration of the leave of absence, his employment shall be deemed terminated.

Sick Leave During Leave of Absence and Layoff. In the event that a Permanent Part Time employee is laid off, or requests and is granted a Leave of Absence, upon her return to work there will be a pro-rated reduction of her annual sick leave entitlement in accordance with the duration of her absence.

  • Sick Leave During Leave of Absence (F/T) When an Employee is given leave of absence without pay for any reason, or is laid off on account of lack of work, he/she shall not continue to accumulate sick leave and shall not be entitled to receive pay for sickness for the period of such absence, but shall retain his/her cumulative credit, if any, existing at the time of such leave or lay-off.
