Leave of Absence for Public Duties. ‌ Upon application in writing by the employee to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Employer shall grant a leave of absence without pay to allow an employee to be a candidate in a municipal, provincial or federal election. In the event that the employee is elected to municipal, provincial, or federal office, the employee shall be granted a leave of absence without pay for the employee’s term of elected office.
