Leave Sellback. A. An employee who does not use all of the personal leave accrued in a fiscal year may be paid for all or part of the difference, on a percentage basis, between the amount of leave used and the amount of leave accrued for that fiscal year on an hour-for-hour basis. Payments will be made on the second payday in January at the September 30 rate of pay. B. To receive such payment, the employee must make an irrevocable election of the percentage to be sold. The election must be made no later than September 30 of the fiscal year preceding the fiscal year in which the leave will accrue. Elections shall be made in accordance with administrative procedures established by the City of Jacksonville. C. Employees otherwise eligible for this option who do not elect to sell a percentage of leave prior to the deadline will not be permitted to sell any leave. D. This payment will not be available to an employee who would have less than eighty (80) accrued annual leave hours remaining after such payment.
Leave Sellback. Employees shall have the option (on two occasions) of selling back on an hour for hour basis, accrued flex or vacation leave. In no event shall the flex or vacation leave balance be reduced below one hundred and sixty (160) hours. Hours sold back will be subject to the Retiree Health Savings Plan Part C contributions, per Section 4 (F), Retiree Medical. For the term of this MOU the Association has elected Part C contributions for Flex at 0%. Employees shall have the option of converting accrued flex /eave to cash on an hour for hour basis subject to the following: On or before the pay period which includes December 15 of each calendar year, an employee may make an irrevocable election to cash out accrued flex leave which will be earned in the following calendar year. The employee can elect to receive the cash out in the pay period which includes June 30 and/or the pay period which includes December 15 for those flex /eave benefits that have been earned during that portion of the year. In no event shall the flex leave balance be reduced below 160 hours. In addition to the above, an employee who has an "unforeseen emergency" (defined as an unanticipated emergency that is caused by an event beyond the control of the employee and that would result in severe financial hardship to the employee if early withdrawal were not permitted) shall be entitled to make a request to the Director of Human Resources for a payoff of accrued flex leave. The amount of flex leave which may be cashed out is limited to the amount necessary to meet the emergency. If there is an unforeseen emergency, an employee can cash out flex /eave earlier in the year than described above provided that the remaining balance is not reduced below 160 hours.
Leave Sellback. Twice annually, employees shall have the option of selling back on an hour for hour basis, accrued Flex or Vacation leave. In no event shall the Flex or Vacation leave balance be reduced below one hundred and sixty (160) hours.   • Sick Leave Buy Back To encourage and reward employees who maintain good job attendance, the parties agree to the following incentive award: Employees who utilize two (2) sick leave days or less each assigned school calendar year and year-round employees who utilize three (3) sick leave days or less during each assigned school calendar year - upon request – shall receive payment for up to eight (8) days of sick leave, provided the employee worked the full assigned calendar year.* The following procedures apply to the payment of sick leave under this section. 1. An employee must have a minimum of twenty-five (25) days of accumulated sick leave remaining after the payment for unused sick leave under this section. 2. The payment of this incentive shall be paid to eligible employees no later than October 31st of the school year following the school year in which the employee qualified for the incentive pay. 3. For purposes of this section, sick leave shall be defined pursuant to all sections of F.S.1012.61. 4. Days for which such award payment is received shall be deducted from the accumulated leave balance. 5. Payment shall be equal to the number of eligible days times the affected employees daily rate of base pay times eighty percent (80%).

  • Sick Leave Transfer An employee may transfer their earned sick leave to a spouse, sister, brother, parent, child or any designated person employed by the District under the provisions of. Board Policy 3430.03—Sick Leave (c) (3) (4) and related procedures.

  • Sick Leave Separation Cash Out At the time of retirement from state service or at death, an eligible employee or the employee’s estate will receive cash for their compensable sick leave balance on a one (1) hour for four (4) hours basis. For the purposes of this Section, retirement will not include “vested out of service” employees who leave funds on deposit with the retirement system.

  • Vacation Buy Back Employees shall have the option of requesting pay in lieu of time off up to a maximum of 144 hours of vacation time each year, during each year of the contract in increments of eight (8) hrs. Such requests are subject to the approval of the department head and the availability of funds.

  • Callback from Vacation ‌ (a) Employees who have commenced their annual vacation shall not be called back to work, except in cases of extreme emergency. (b) When, during any vacation period, an employee is recalled to duty, he/she shall be reimbursed for all reasonable expenses incurred by himself/herself, in proceeding to his/her place of duty and in returning to the place from which he/she was recalled upon resumption of vacation, upon submission of receipts to the Employer. (c) Time necessary for travel in returning to his/her place of duty and returning again to the place from which he/she was recalled shall not be counted against his/her remaining vacation time.
