Length of Contracts for Members. Initial Contract: One year. In cases where the contract begins in Spring, an initial contract term of 1 and a half years may be warranted. Second Contracts and beyond: These contracts always begin in the Fall and are at least one year in length, but not more than three years. In extreme cases, one semester contracts may be offered where warranted, for example for sabbatical or leave replacements.
