Less than 8-Hour Duty Day. Employees working less than 8 hours and using approved leave or accumulated credit hours for the balance of the day may work through the 1100- 1300 hours lunch period.

Duty Day Duty Day shall mean a day included in the university calendar or individual faculty member's appointment on which a faculty member engages in duties as described in this Agreement.
Duty Days The duty days for employees of the Board shall be as indicated in Appendix A, Schedule of Classifications. The Board will require 190 duty days for ten-month employees, 212 duty days for 11-month employees, 249 duty days for 12-month employees. In the event that the Board of Education or the Superintendent closes the school system to all employees during the Winter Break, bargaining unit members who would otherwise be required to work shall will be placed on paid Administrative Leave and those days will be counted as duty days.
Duty Hours 11.01 The regular work week for all employees shall be eighty (80) hours bi-weekly on shifts of eight (8) hours per day. Employees shall not be scheduled to work double shifts as a part of the normal scheduling procedure. The Employer may implement a forty (40) hour workweek on shifts of ten (10) hours per day, according to Departmental needs.
Minimum Hours All employees shall be paid their regular hourly rate for each hour worked except where employed for less than four (4) consecutive hours per day, in which event they shall receive a minimum of four (4) hours pay. An employee who is called for work and upon reporting finds that his or her services are not required shall receive two (2) hours pay.
PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY DAYS 22.01 (a) A Long-Term Occasional Teacher who is scheduled to work when there is a Professional Activity Day shall be required to participate in the scheduled professional activities and shall be paid for such day.
Civic Duty Leave A. Employees summoned for jury duty will be granted a leave of absence with pay for time lost from their regular work schedule while on said jury duty upon presentation of the appropriate summons to the department head by the employee.
Special Duty Pay (A) High Work Differential. When an employee is required to perform work more than twenty (20) feet directly above the ground or water and use of safety ropes, scaffolds, boatswain chairs or other similar safety devices are required for support, the employee shall receive a high work differential. Rate: One dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) per hour.
CALAMITY DAYS A. All bargaining unit members shall be paid their appropriate rate of pay for all days or parts of a day when the school in which they are employed is closed due to an epidemic or other public calamity.
Summer Hours a) Every year, for a period of ten (10) weeks, from mid-June to mid-August (exact dates to be posted by the Human Resources Department) the length of the regular work week is reduced by three (3) hours without reduction in remuneration.
Payment Terms – Payment in Arrears A. Invoices are to be submitted in arrears to the user agency/department to the ship- to address, unless otherwise directed in this CONTRACT. Payment will be net 30 days after receipt of an invoice in a format acceptable to the County of Orange and verified and approved by the agency/department and subject to routine processing requirements. The responsibility for providing an acceptable invoice rests with the CONTRACTOR.
