Lieutenants. Seniority will be based on length of service within rank. The promotional list results will determine the senior lieutenant for settling ties for service length within rank.

If no promotional list is available at the time the vacancy occurs, then the vacancy shall be filled within ninety (90) days. Assignment of Command Officers within the Department will continue to be the responsibility of the Chief of Police who shall determine the number and levels of Command Officers needed in the various Bureaus.
Lieutenants. The Lieutenants' salary will be 12% above the Firefighter salary with the same number of service years. Salary steps will occur after the completion of 10, 15, 20, and 25 years of service on the Department.
Lieutenants. When the number of lieutenants on a given unit equals forty-seven (47), the maximum number allowed on the following annual Xxxxx Xxx draw will be increased to seven (7) per day.

Lieutenants. They shall have command and control of the apparatus, and personnel, to which they are assigned. In the absence of the Captain, they shall assume command and fulfill all the orders, regulations and duties of the Captain. They shall be responsible for the duties and assignments given them by the Captain. They shall notify the Captain of the necessity for any repairs, alterations or changes of their equipment or for necessary supplies. They shall make and sign any and all reports or forms that may be prescribed by their superior officers.
Lieutenants. 1. Lieutenants shall not be paid overtime, except as set forth in the following paragraphs, until they have worked more than 45 hours in a workweek. A Lieutenant assigned to the 4 x 4 (160-hour/28 day) cycle will receive compensation for working more than five (5) hours over the 40-hour, 4-day work period only if he/she has completed bank time, but not training days. Compensation for hours worked beyond 45 in a workweek may be hour for hour compensatory time off or in cash in accordance with paragraph 4 below.
Lieutenants. 1. Patrol Sign-ups Patrol lieutenants’ sign-ups shall be conducted on a semi-annual basis, in conjunction with the CSO, police officer, and sergeant shift selections. Lieutenants shall sign into the posted positions by order of their respective seniority except for those Lieutenants who are in a special assignment. This section/provision does not apply to acting lieutenants.
