Bargaining Unit Vacancies. It is the intent of the City to continue the practice of filling job vacancies of bargaining unit classifications by promoting or transferring qualified employees from within. Vacancies (as determined by the City to exist) which will last more than thirty (30) days shall be posted on the bulletin board at each City building for a period of five (5) workdays. The notice of vacancy shall be dated. Any regular or probationary employee who desires consideration must notify the Department Head or Human Resources in writing within fourteen (14) calendar days of the date of posting. Application/bid forms will be provided by the City to be filled out by the employee/bidder. Qualifications for promotion or transfer to a vacant position will be determined based on the classification description of the vacant position. Employees may be requested to participate in interviews and/or testing to assess whether their qualifications meet those required in the classification description. Where the above does not meet the needs of the City or Union, the City and Union shall meet and confer to attempt to resolve the issue.
Bargaining Unit Vacancies. Section 1. When a bargaining unit position becomes vacant because of retirement, resignation, separation or the creation of an additional job, and the University decides to fill the vacancy, it shall be filled in the following manner:

A vacancy shall exist when a bargaining unit position is open due to reasons such as resignation, termination, or the creation of a new position and there is no certificated or licensed teacher on unrequested leave or returning from leave and there is no staff overage in such area of certification.
Bargaining Unit Vacancies. All vacancies within the bargaining unit will be posted within fourteen (14) calendar days of determining there is a vacancy. The vacancy will remain posted for a period of seven (7) calendar days. Postings will list the reason for filling the vacancy. Whenever possible, the Employer will fill the vacancy within five (5) calendar days of the posting deadline. If the vacancy is not filled by ten (10) work days, the successful candidate will be compensated at the vacancy rate starting the eleventh (11th) work day provided the employer is ready to present the work. If an individual is not ready and present to work because of vacation, sick day, personal day, etc. the days in the preceding paragraph will be extended by a like amount of days.

Copies will also be sent to the Association President and the Association’s business office at the time of posting.

Bargaining Unit Vacancies. A vacancy shall be defined as a newly created position or a present position that is not filled. When a vacancy occurs, the personnel department shall notify all ho..: 1-.1 employees in writing, describing the position, classification, and advising that applications will be accepted. When a position is vacated due to an employee transfer, retirement, resignation or termination, Human Resources shall notify the ESPA President in writing of the status of the position within sixty (60) calendar days of the vacancy occurring.
Bargaining Unit Vacancies. (a) CLC shall seek to fill vacancies in the Bargaining Unit from within the Unit for all regular positions whenever possible. Such positions shall be posted to all CLC staff by an email to “CLCCAL All” at least five (5) business days prior to the close of the application period for the open position. Interested employees will be allowed to apply for the open position.
Bargaining Unit Vacancies. A notice of vacancy in Association bargaining unit positions in the district shall be posted in the faculty room in each school and a copy shall be sent to the Association fifteen (15) days before the final date when applications must be submitted. The notice to be distributed by the Board shall designate the position, the qualifications, the general duties and the rate of compensation. Teachers who desire to apply for such vacancies shall submit an application in writing to the Superintendent within the time specified in the notice. Teachers who desire to apply for positions, which may be filled during the summer period when school is not regularly in session, shall submit their names to the Superintendent together with the positions for which they desire to apply and an address where they can be reached during the summer. Should such a position open during the summer period, the Superintendent shall mail notice thereof to the teachers who have submitted their names at the addresses they have provided. The selection of the person to be employed shall be the sole responsibility of the Board. In filling positions within the Bargaining Unit, consideration shall be given to qualified teachers already in the employ of the Board. If the procedures outlined above are not followed, the Association may file a grievance under Article III.
