LINE OF DUTY. Leave is granted according to law when Support Personnel are absent from duty because of personal injury received in the discharge of duty or because of illness from any contagious or infectious disease contracted in school/site work and shall not count as sick leave. Such leave is granted up to a maximum of ten (10) days for each instance.

Such leave is granted up to a maximum of ten (10) days for each instance.
LINE OF DUTY. If an employee is killed in the line of duty the Village shall pay $10,000.00 to the employee’s spouse or legal dependents. This payment shall not be made if the employee dies on duty from illness or other natural causes.
LINE OF DUTY. If a full-time employee should be killed in the line of duty, an additional $50,000 benefit would be paid through the Accidental Death and Dismemberment portion of the policy.
LINE OF DUTY. When an employee or volunteer of the responding CITY is performing duties under the terms of this Agreement, that person is considered to be acting in the line of duty for the CITY for the purposes of 42 U.S.C.A., Section 3796; is considered to be in performance of duties for the CITY within the applicable provisions of Chapter 615 of the Texas Government Code, and of Chapter 142, Texas Local Government Code; and shall be entitled to any other benefits which accrue under law as a result of injury, death or loss which occurs while in the line of duty for the CITY under this Agreement. This section does not increase the DISTRICT’s liability under this Agreement.

  • Tour of Duty A tour of duty means the authorized and/or approved time worked by an employee during the day, as defined in Articles 15.1, 15.1.1 and 15.4 calculated to the end of the last quarter (¼) hour in which work was performed. If a tour of duty extends beyond 2400 hours it shall be considered as falling wholly within the calendar day in which it started.
