University Obligations. University of the People offers a unique, exclusively online learning experience that combines peer-based and collaborative learning with information technologies and the internet. All learning takes place online, and courses take place over a nine-week term. Each term has eight weekly learning units and a four-day period for preparing for and taking the final exam. The weekly study units are made available one week at a time at the start of the new Learning Week and students always have access to the completed units. Via the Virtual Learning Environment, students share resources, exchange ideas, discuss weekly topics, submit assignments, and take exams. To ensure the integrity and academic excellence of the University, and to ensure that students derive maximum benefit from their program of studies at the University, the University is obliged to: (a) implement its mission and institutional goals; (b) deliver up-to-date and high-quality academic programs and instructional materials, and ensure that academic standards are maintained; (c) provide a comprehensive curriculum and courses to enable students to earn sufficient credits toward their degree program; (d) provide student services, academic advising and ancillary support services to help students complete their studies successfully; (e) maintain its technological systems to enable students to access their courses, records, forms and University information; (f) evaluate and improve its programs, courses and services; (g) provide accurate and truthful information regarding its programs and services; (h) uphold all University policies and procedures and apply these fairly; (i) maintain and protect student records and privacy;all in accordance with the University's Privacy Policy, available here. (j) ensure the engagement of competent and qualified University directors, officials, faculty and employees; and (k) manage the University's affairs ethically, financially, responsibly and in full compliance with the law.

University Obligations. The University will: Internship Provision Provide the Intern the “How to Make the Most of your Internship” guide. which includes basic information on general Health and Safety, training and support, prior to their Internship. Provide the Organisation with the ”Making the Most of Your Intern” guide, detailing basic Health and Safety requirements and the induction checklist. If requested or deemed necessary, the University’s Employer Liaison Officer, will visit the Organisation during the Internship (at times and dates to be agreed between the Parties) to monitor the Intern’s progress and to respond to any concerns about the Intern or the Internship raised by either the Organisation or the Intern. The University will, upon request and subject always to data protection legislation, provide a copy of any subsequent report to the Organisation and/or the Intern. Deal with all concerns, problems and complaints raised by the Organisation and/or the Intern in respect of the Internship in a prompt manner. Support the Organisation in setting the SMART objectives for the Internship, if the Organisation requests this. Health and Safety If there is a potential hazard identified in the workplace, request from the Intern and/or the Organisation, if deemed necessary, a copy of a risk assessment and details of mitigating actions to minimise the hazard. Provide support to the Intern, on request, to support the success of the Internship, including if necessary additional support regarding difficulties as posed by pre-existing disabilities and/or special requirements. The Intern should contact the Employer Liaison Officer in the first instance. Pay the approved Access to Internships Subsidy in accordance with the standard payment terms of the University, and on receipt of a valid invoice from the Organisation quoting a purchase order or other reference provided by the University, always on the condition that this signed Access to Internships Agreement has been received by Employment Services. Invoice the Organisation for the Management Fee (if applicable) as set out on the Front Sheet of this Agreement.
University Obligations. (a) The University must, and must ensure its Personnel: (b) perform the Project in accordance with this Agreement and: with professional care and skill; and in accordance with all applicable laws; and (c) obtain and maintain all regulatory and ethical licences, consents and approvals necessary to carry out the Project, including as relevant for a Person's role.

University Obligations. The University will provide dining facilities at which Student may obtain meals during the Contract Period. If the University is prevented from completing the performance of any obligations under the Contract by an act of God or other occurrence whatsoever that is beyond the control of the University, the University will be excused from the performance of those obligations to the fullest extent allowed by law.
University Obligations. You will have a limited license to occupy a room assigned by University Housing facilities under the terms and conditions stated herein. Your room assignment is subject to change at any time for the convenience of University Housing. Information on the web site xxxx://xxx.xxx/housing, including move-in and move-out schedules, is incorporated by reference and made a part of this contract. University Housing and Resident agree that no lease or landlord-tenant relationship is created by this agreement.
University Obligations. 10.1 The University shall use its reasonable efforts to provide the program as advertised but may at its sole discretion alter any part of the program, including but not limited to a practical training requirement, and may postpone or cancel the program. 10.2 The University will advise you in writing if a program cannot commence or ceases before you can complete the program (Provider Default). In these circumstances you will be offered a place in an alternative program or refunded any unspent tuition fees as required under the Tuition Protection Service (TPS). If the University is unable to provide you with an alternative program the TPS Director will provide you in writing options for suitable alternative programs (if any such programs are available) at another education provider. If the either the University or the TPS Director are unable to provide you with suitable alternative programs and the University is unable to provide you with a refund of unspent tuition fees, the TPS Director will then assist you with obtaining a refund of those unspent tuition fees. 10.3 The University does not guarantee that every course in your program will be offered in any particular teaching period. Courses offered in any teaching period are subject to change by the University from time to time.

University Obligations. Within ninety (90) days after the end of each fiscal year, the University shall submit to the Director an annual operating report (“Annual Operating Report”) describing the activities of the University in managing and curating the Collection. The Annual Operating Report shall also include an income and expense statement.
University Obligations. University will provide broadcast time or publication space for Sponsorship Recognition Material prepared by Sponsor or Sponsor’s agent. Production of Sponsorship Recognition Material, supplying talent, and other services will be arranged, coordinated and paid for by Sponsor and are not covered by this Agreement. University’s obligation under this Section to provide broadcast time or publication space for Sponsorship Recognition Material is conditioned upon Sponsor providing University the necessary Sponsorship Recognition Material and any related services, all of which must have been approved pursuant to Section 2.1 and submitted to University no later than fourteen (14) days prior to broadcast or publication (the “Material Due Date”).

Develop criteria for the evaluation of the performance of University students participating in the Program and provide those criteria, with appropriate reporting forms, to the Facility personnel and University personnel who are responsible for supervising those students. c. Assign grades to students participating in the Program on the basis of the performance evaluations submitted in the reporting forms. d. Inform all University students and personnel participating in the Program that they are required to comply with the rules and regulations of Facility while on premises of Facility and to comply with the requirements of federal and state laws and regulations regarding the confidentiality of information in records maintained by Facility. e. Provide information requested by Facility related to students participating in the Program unless prohibited by federal or state law. f. Remove a student from the Program when the Facility determines that the student has violated the rules and regulations of the Facility; has disclosed information that is confidential by law; or has engaged in conduct that disrupts the activities carried on by the Facility or threatens the safety of Facility personnel or patients.
