Live-in Home Carer. (a) Live-in Home Carer - shall mean a home care employee who lives at the client’s premises for a period of 24 hours or more. (b) For the purposes of the rates of pay for Live-in Home Carers which are set out as daily rates of pay in Table 2 of Schedule B to this Agreement: (i) A Home Care Employee grade 1 shall be paid as a Live-in Home Carer grade 1; (ii) A Home Care Employee grade 2 shall be paid as a Live-in Home Carer grade 2; (iii) A Home Care Employee grade 3 shall be paid as a Live-in Home Carer grade 3; (c) The terms and conditions of this clause shall be in substitution for and not cumulative upon the entitlements in the following clauses: Clause 14 - Hours; Clause 17 - Overtime; Clause 18 - Shift and Weekend Work; Clause 19 - Public Holidays. (d) Employees required to live in shall be provided with full board and lodging free of charge. (e) A Live-in Home Carer shall after each 5 consecutive days of duty, be entitled to 2 consecutive days off provided that: (i) Such days may accumulate to a limit of 6 and in any case must be taken at the conclusion of such service. (ii) Where it is mutually agreed between the employer and the employee that under such circumstances the days of duty should continue, such days may accumulate to a limit of 8 to be taken at the conclusion of such service. (iii) Provided that the Live-in Home Carer shall continue to receive the normal weekly wage during such days off.

Live-in Home Carer. (a) A 24-hour care shift requires an Employee to be available for duty in a client’s home for a 24-hour period. During this period, the Employee is required to provide the client with the services specified in the care plan. The Employee is required to provide a total of no more than 8 hours of care during this period. (b) An Employer may only require an Employee to work a 24-hour care shift by agreement. (c) The Employee will be afforded the opportunity to sleep for a continuous period of 8 hours during a 24-hour care shift and Employees will be provided with a separate room with a bed and clean linen, the use of appropriate facilities (including access to food preparation facilities and staff facilities where these exist) and free board and lodging for each night when the Employee sleeps over. (d) The Employee will be paid 8 hours’ work at 155% of their appropriate rate for each 24-hour period.
Live-in Home Carer. (a) Live-in Home Carer - shall mean a home care employee who lives at the client’s premises for a period of twenty-four (24) hours or more. (b) A 24-hour care shift requires an employee to be available for duty in a client’s home for a 24-hour period. During this period, the employee is required to provide the client with the services specified in the care plan. The employee is required to provide a total of no more than eight (8) hours of care during this period. The number of worked hours is monitored via an electronic time and attendance system to ensure that the maximum of eight (8) hours of care is not exceeded. (c) The employee will normally have the opportunity to sleep during a 24-hour care shift and, where appropriate, a bed in a private room will be provided for the employee. (d) The employee engaged will be paid eight hours work at 155% of their appropriate rate for each 24-hour period.

  • Hospice Care If you have a terminal illness and you agree with your physician not to continue with a curative treatment program, this plan covers hospice care services received in your home, in a skilled nursing facility, or in an inpatient facility.

  • Verizon OSS Services 8.2.1 Upon request by ECI, Verizon shall provide to ECI Verizon OSS Services. Such Verizon OSS Services will be provided in accordance with, but only to the extent required by, Applicable Law. 8.2.2 Subject to the requirements of Applicable Law, Verizon Operations Support Systems, Verizon Operations Support Systems functions, Verizon OSS Facilities, Verizon OSS Information, and the Verizon OSS Services that will be offered by Verizon, shall be as determined by Verizon. Subject to the requirements of Applicable Law, Verizon shall have the right to change Verizon Operations Support Systems, Verizon Operations Support Systems functions, Verizon OSS Facilities, Verizon OSS Information, and the Verizon OSS Services, from time-to-time, without the consent of ECI. 8.2.3 To the extent required by Applicable Law, in providing Verizon OSS Services to ECI, Verizon will comply with Verizon’s applicable OSS Change Management Guidelines, as such Guidelines are modified from time-to-time, including, but not limited to, the provisions of the Guidelines related to furnishing notice of changes in Verizon OSS Services. Verizon’s OSS Change Management Guidelines will be set out on a Verizon website.

  • Hospice Services Services are available for a Member whose Attending Physician has determined the Member's illness will result in a remaining life span of six months or less.

  • DEPENDENT PERSONAL SERVICES 1. Subject to the provisions of Articles 16, 18 and 19, salaries, wages and other similar remuneration derived by a resident of a Contracting State in respect of an employment shall be taxable only in that State unless the employment is exercised in the other Contracting State. If the employment is so exercised, such remuneration as is derived therefrom may be taxed in that other State. 2. Notwithstanding the provisions of paragraph 1, remuneration derived by a resident of a Contracting State in respect of an employment exercised in the other Contracting State shall be taxable only in the first-mentioned State if: a) the recipient is present in the other State for a period or periods not exceeding in the aggregate 183 days in any twelve-month period commencing or ending in the tax year concerned, and b) the remuneration is paid by, or on behalf of, an employer who is not a resident of the other State, and c) the remuneration is not borne by a permanent establishment or a fixed base which the employer has in the other State. 3. Notwithstanding the preceding provisions of this Article, remuneration derived in respect of an employment exercised aboard a ship or aircraft operated in international traffic by a resident of a Contracting State, may be taxed in that State.

  • INDEPENDENT PERSONAL SERVICES 1. Income derived by a resident of a Contracting State in respect of professional services or other activities of an independent character shall be taxable only in that State unless he has a fixed base regularly available to him in the other Contracting State for the purpose of performing his activities. If he has such a fixed base, the income may be taxed in the other State but only so much of it as is attributable to that fixed base. 2. The term “professional services” includes especially independent scientific, literary, artistic, educational or teaching activities as well as the independent activities of physicians, lawyers, engineers, architects, dentists and accountants.

  • Contract for Professional Services of Physicians Optometrists, and Registered Nurses

  • Personal Services No employee shall be required to perform services of a personal nature.

  • Surgery Services This plan covers surgery services to treat a disease or injury when: • the operation is not experimental or investigational, or cosmetic in nature; • the operation is being performed at the appropriate place of service; and • the physician is licensed to perform the surgery. This plan covers reconstructive surgery and procedures when the services are performed to relieve pain, or to correct or improve bodily function that is impaired as a result of: • a birth defect; • an accidental injury; • a disease; or • a previous covered surgical procedure. Functional indications for surgical correction do not include psychological, psychiatric or emotional reasons. This plan covers the procedures listed below to treat functional impairments. • abdominal wall surgery including panniculectomy (other than an abdominoplasty); • blepharoplasty and ptosis repair; • gastric bypass or gastric banding; • nasal reconstruction and septorhinoplasty; • orthognathic surgery including mandibular and maxillary osteotomy; • reduction mammoplasty; • removal of breast implants; • removal or treatment of proliferative vascular lesions and hemangiomas; • treatment of varicose veins; or • gynecomastia.

  • Chiropractic Services This plan covers chiropractic visits up to the benefit limit shown in the Summary of Medical Benefits. The benefit limit applies to any visit for the purposes of chiropractic treatment or diagnosis.

  • Clinical Management for Behavioral Health Services (CMBHS) System 1. request access to CMBHS via the CMBHS Helpline at (000) 000-0000. 2. use the CMBHS time frames specified by System Agency. 3. use System Agency-specified functionality of the CMBHS in its entirety. 4. submit all bills and reports to System Agency through the CMBHS, unless otherwise instructed.
