Loss of Personal Effects. Employees who suffer a loss or damage, in the line of 5 duty, to personal property and/or clothing worn on the body, will have same repaired or replaced at 6 department expense, not to exceed $150.00.
Loss of Personal Effects. An employee who suffers loss of clothes or personal effects will be compensated in accordance with Order-in-Council Where an employee is assigned to duty aboard a ship and suffers loss of clothing or personal effects (those which can reasonably be expected to accompany the employee aboard the ship) because of a marine accident or disaster, the employee shall be reimbursed the value of those articles up to a maximum of three thousand dollars ($3,000) based on replacement cost less the usual rate of depreciation. If an Employee sustains a loss of, or damage to, their personal effects or personal equipment through a significant marine incident such as fire, foundering, shipwreck, collision, explosion or stranding in the course of their employment, the Employer shall compensate the Employee concerned for such loss or damage by a cash payment equivalent to the value of the effects, so lost or damaged.
22.2. Any such payment shall not exceed the amount of $2,080 per event.

Should Employees who work on the vessels sustain loss or damage to their personal effects, or other equipment by fire, foundering, shipwreck, collision, explosion, stranding or ingress of oil or water during or in the course of their employment, the Employer will compensate the Employee concerned for such loss or damage by a cash payment equivalent to the value of the effects or other equipment lost or damaged but any payment shall not exceed $5,000.
Loss of Personal Effects. If personal effects of any Engineer through no fault of his own become totally lost or partially damaged because of fire on, or sinking of a vessel, he shall be paid his actual loss by the Operator up to, but not to exceed the sum of $250.00 in full compensation for such loss.
