Lost or Stolen Cards and Unauthorized Transactions. If you know or suspect your Visa Card was lost or stolen – or if you know or suspect your Visa Card or Visa Account is being used without your authority – call us immediately 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at Card Services at 000-000-0000 (Metro Vancouver) or 0-000-000-0000 (toll- free). If you are outside Canada or the U.S. you can call toll-free at IAC-800-500-0707-0 (IAC = International Access code, varies by country). If anyone other than you uses your Visa Card at an ATM with your PIN #, the Primary Cardholder will be responsible for any Transactions completed using your Visa Card, even if you have not given them your permission to do so, until you tell us that your Visa Card has been lost or stolen. Otherwise, if anyone other than you uses your Visa Card without your permission to do so (except at an ATM with your PIN #), the Primary Cardholder will not be responsible for those Transactions, but you must notify us of any such unauthorized Transaction(s) and otherwise follow your responsibilities under this Agreement, including taking care of your Visa Card and Visa Account. Once you tell us that your Visa Card has been lost or stolen or that your Visa Card or Visa Account is being used without your authority, the Primary Cardholder will not be responsible for any additional Transactions completed with your Visa Card after that. The Primary Cardholder and Authorized Users, if any, must cooperate fully with any investigation we conduct.

Unless the MasterCard Zero Liability Policy (the “Policy”) applies, your maximum liability in the event that your card is lost or stolen and used in an authorized manner is $50. You will not be liable for purchases to which the Policy applies. If your card is used at an ABM in conjunction with your PIN, you may be responsible for the full amount charged to your account before we receive notice from you that your Card has been lost or stolen. You will be responsible for transactions that occur under the following circumstances, unless you prove to us that you took reasonable precautions to protect and safeguard your Card and your PIN from becoming available or accessible to another person, but that despite having taking such precautions, your Card and your PIN or other security code were stolen or fraudulently obtained by an unauthorized person: • if your Card is used at an ABM in conjunction with your PIN, you will be responsible for the full amount of any such charges to your Account before we receive notice from you that your Card has been lost or stolen; and • if your Card is lost or stolen and is used to obtain a Cash Advance other than at an ABM, you will be responsible for the amount of such charges to your Account before we receive notice from you that your Card was lost or stolen, up to a maximum of $50. You must notify us of any unauthorized transactions within thirty days of the Statement date on which such transactions appear. How we Communicate with You We will send Statements and any other notices in connection with this Agreement only to the Primary Cardholder, and any communication to the Primary Cardholder is deemed to be sufficient communication to all Cardholders. Unless the Primary Cardholder agrees to receive Statements and any other notices by email or other electronic form, Statements and any notices under this Agreement will be sent to the Primary Cardholder by ordinary mail to the Primary Cardholder’s address that appears in our records and will ...

Otherwise, if anyone other than an Authorized User uses a Visa Card without permission (except at an ATM with the PIN #), the Business will not be responsible for those Transactions, but the Business or any Authorized User must notify us of any such unauthorized Transaction(s) within 30 days of the end of the statement period in which the unauthorized Transaction(s) took place. Once we are notified about the lost or stolen Visa Card or that a specific Visa Card or the Visa Account is being used without the authority, the Business will not be responsible for any additional Transactions completed with that particular Visa Card after that, whether or not the person using the card has the PIN # for the corresponding Visa Card. The Business must cooperate fully with any investigation we conduct and the Business must ensure that Authorized Users also cooperate with us.

  • Your Liability for Unauthorized Transfers Immediately following your discovery of an unauthorized Payment Instruction, you shall communicate with customer care for the Service in the manner set forth in Section 6 of the General Terms above. You acknowledge and agree that time is of the essence in such situations. If you tell us within two (2) Business Days after you discover your password or other means to access your account through which you access the Service has been lost or stolen, your liability is no more than $50.00 should someone access your account without your permission. If you do not tell us within two (2) Business Days after you learn of such loss or theft, and we can prove that we could have prevented the unauthorized use of your password or other means to access your account if you had told us, you could be liable for as much as $500.00. If your monthly financial institution statement contains payments that you did not authorize, you must tell us at once. If you do not tell us within sixty (60) days after the statement was sent to you, you may lose any amount transferred without your authorization after the sixty (60) days if we can prove that we could have stopped someone from taking the money had you told us in time. If a good reason (such as a long trip or a hospital stay) prevented you from telling us, we will extend the time periods specified above to a reasonable period.

You should also call the number or write to the address listed above if You believe a transfer has been made using the information from Your check without Your permission.
