Lunch and Breaks for less than Eight-Hours. 7 In the event an employee is assigned to a shift less than the normal work shift defined in Section 8 7.3.1, the employee shall have in their assignment one (1) of the following meal/rest periods, as 9 appropriate.   • Overtime Hours Except as otherwise provided in this section, all hours worked in excess of the established work day, before or after an employee's regular scheduled shift, or on any regularly scheduled day off, shall be considered overtime. All paid vacation time, paid holidays, paid sick leave, compensatory time off, and paid leaves of absence shall be considered as "time worked" for purposes of this Article. Part-time employees whose established work day is less than eight (8) hours shall not be considered to be working overtime until having completed eight (8) hours of work.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday. (b) When the employee is scheduled off on a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to schedule the employee off the paid holiday. (c) In the event of a scheduling conflict, 12.07 (a) will be the deciding provision.

  • Ordinary Hours (a) The ordinary hours of work of full-time Employees shall be 36 hours per week and may be worked in accordance with this clause. (b) The ordinary hours of part-time and casual Employees will be in accordance with clauses 5.3 and 5.4.
