MAINTAINED SENIORITY. Employees on authorized leave or layoff shall maintain their original date of hire. An employee that fails to report for work within three (3) days of the recall from lay-off shall be considered terminated. An employee who has been laid off shall retain previously earned seniority toward salary advancement.

  • SENIORITY 11.01 Seniority shall mean an employee's length of service with the Employer. An employee shall maintain and accumulate seniority while he/she is in the employ of the Employer after he/she has completed his/her probationary period as set out in Article 11.02 below, subject to Article 11.04.

Further, the list shall have no other force or effect on local collective agreements other than those that may already exist for casual/temporary employees in the 2008-12 local collective agreement.
