Common use of Maintenance of Membership Clause in Contracts

Maintenance of Membership. All employees in the bargaining units who, on the effective date of this Agreement, are members of the Union and all employees who thereafter become members shall, as a condition of employment, remain members of the Union for the duration of this Agreement. Employees who wish to terminate their membership may do so by providing written notice to the Union at its principal offices during a thirty (30) day period commencing sixty (60) days prior to the expiration date of this Agreement.

Maintenance of Membership. All employees in the bargaining units who, on the effective date of this Agreement, Employees who are current members of the Union and all employees at the signing of this agreement, or who thereafter become members shallsign a Union membership card subsequent to the signing of this agreement, as shall maintain their Union membership for the duration of the collective bargaining agreement. Maintenance of membership shall be a condition of employment, remain members of the Union for the duration of this Agreement. Employees who wish wishing to terminate revoke their membership may do so by providing written notice of revocation to the Union at its principal offices during a thirty union not less than ten (30) day period commencing sixty (6010) days prior to and not more than twenty (20) days before the expiration date of this Agreementthe applicable collective bargaining agreement.
