Meal and Rest Periods. 15.01 A meal period, with pay, for employees working on a daily shift of seven (7) or more hours shall be thirty (30) minutes in duration and shall not start earlier than three (3) hours, nor later than five (5) hours after commencement of the employee's shift, unless the employee is required to respond or is involved in an emergency situation. Employees shall be entitled to two (2) fifteen (15) minute rest periods, with pay, for same seven (7) hour shift, which shall be taken approximately in the middle of each one-half of the shift.
