Mechanics Driving. Whenever Bus Mechanics are requested or required by the District to drive routes or transport students on field trips or extracurricular events, the bus mechanic shall be paid at his/her regular mechanic rate of pay. Overtime or holiday pay shall be paid in accordance with the overtime on Holiday Pay as outlined in this Contract.

Mechanics Driving. No Mechanic may be assigned to transport students during their regular workday. Mechanics who hold a School Bus Permit and wish to transport students may be assigned overtime at the sole discretion of Administration before the procedure outlined in Section 21.2 is used to assign additional time.

Tenant further agrees to take the additional steps necessary to keep the Premises free of any and all liens that may result from construction completed by or for Tenant.

  • Mechanic’s Liens Tenant shall keep the Property and Premises free from any mechanic’s, materialman’s, or similar liens or other such encumbrances, including the liens of any security interest in, conditional sales of, or chattel mortgages upon, any materials, fixtures, or articles so installed in and constituting part of the Premises, in connection with any Tenant’s Changes on or respecting the Premises not performed by or at the request of Landlord and shall indemnify, defend, protect, and hold Landlord harmless from and against any claims, liabilities, judgements, or costs (including attorneys’ fees) arising out of the same or in connection with any such lien, security interest, conditional sale or chattel mortgage or any action or proceeding brought thereon. Tenant shall give Landlord written notice at least twenty (20) days prior to the commencement of work on any Tenant’s Change in the Premises (or such additional time as may be necessary under applicable Laws), in order to afford Landlord the opportunity of posting and recording appropriate notices of nonresponsibility. Tenant shall remove any such lien or encumbrance by bond or otherwise within thirty (30) days after written notice by Landlord; and if Tenant shall fail to do so, Landlord may pay the amount necessary to remove such lien or encumbrance, without being responsible for investigating the validity thereof. The amount so paid shall be deemed Additional Rent under this Lease payable upon demand, without limitation as to other remedies available to Landlord under this Lease. Nothing contained in this Lease shall authorize Tenant to do any act which shall subject Landlord’s title to the Property or Premises to any liens or encumbrances, whether claimed by operation of law or express or implied contract. Any claim to a lien or encumbrance upon the Property or Premises arising in connection with any Work on or respecting the Premises not performed by or at the request of Landlord shall be null and void, or, at Landlord’s option, shall attach only against Tenant’s interest in the Premises and shall in all respects be subordinate to Landlord’s title to the Property and Premises.

  • Searchability Offering searchability capabilities on the Directory Services is optional but if offered by the Registry Operator it shall comply with the specification described in this section.

  • Construction Liens Tenant shall have no power to do any act or make any contract that may create or be the foundation of any lien, mortgage or other encumbrance upon the reversionary or other estate of Landlord, or any interest of Landlord in the Property or Facility Premises. NO CONSTRUCTION LIENS OR OTHER LIENS FOR ANY LABOR, SERVICES OR MATERIALS FURNISHED TO THE PREMISES SHALL ATTACH TO OR AFFECT THE INTEREST OF LANDLORD IN AND TO THE PROPERTY OR FACILITY PREMISES. Tenant shall keep the Property and Facility Premises free from any liens arising out of any work performed, materials furnished, or obligations incurred by or on behalf of Tenant. Should any lien or claim of lien be filed against the Property or Facility Premises by reason of any act or omission of Tenant or any of Tenant’s agents, employees, contractors or representatives, then Tenant shall cause the same to be canceled and discharged of record by bond or otherwise within thirty (30) days after the filing thereof. Should Tenant fail to discharge the lien within thirty (30) days, then Landlord may discharge the lien. The amount paid by Landlord to discharge the lien (whether directly or by bond), plus all administrative and legal costs incurred by Landlord, shall be additional rent payable on demand. The remedies provided herein shall be in addition to all other remedies available to Landlord under this Lease or otherwise. The parties hereto agree that in no event shall the interest of Landlord be subject to the liens for improvements made by Tenant, and this expressly prohibits such liability. Pursuant to Section 713.10, Florida Statutes, this provision specifically provides that no interest of Landlord shall be subject to liens for improvements made by the Tenant at or under Tenant’s direction. This provision shall serve as notice to all potential construction lienors that Landlord shall not be liable for and the Facility Premises shall not be subject to liens for work performed or materials supplied at Tenant’s request or at the request of anyone claiming an interest by, through or under Tenant. Further, any contractor, vendor, supplier or other party providing work or services to and for the Premises that is entitled to a mechanic’s lien pursuant to Chapter 713, Florida Statutes, shall look solely to the leasehold interest of the Tenant in the Lease and may not encumber the fee title to the Premises owned by the Landlord. Tenant shall provide notice of this provision to all contractors, vendors, suppliers, and other parties providing work or materials at the Premises. The foregoing provision shall be included in any recorded notice under Section 713.10, Florida Statutes, or memorandum of this Lease.

  • Site Lands or areas indicated in the Contract Documents as being furnished by the Owner upon which the Work is to be performed, including rights-of-way and easements for access thereto, and such other lands furnished by the Owner that are designated for the use of the Contractor. Also referred to as Project Site, Job Site and Premises.

  • Undocumented Workers The Immigration and Nationality Act (8 USC §1324a) (Immigration Act) makes it unlawful for an employer to hire or continue employment of undocumented workers. The United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement Service has established the Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification Form (I-9 Form) as the document to be used for employment eligibility verification (8 CFR §274a). Among other things, Contractor is required to: (1) have all employees complete and sign the I-9 Form certifying that they are eligible for employment; (2) examine verification documents required by the I-9 Form to be presented by the employee and ensure the documents appear to be genuine and related to the individual; (3) record information about the documents on the I-9 Form, and complete the certification portion of the I-9 Form; and (4) retain the I-9 Form as required by Applicable Laws. It is illegal to discriminate against any individual (other than a citizen of another country who is not authorized to work in the United States) in hiring, discharging, or recruiting because of that individual's national origin or citizenship status. If Contractor employs unauthorized workers during performance of this Agreement in violation of the Immigration Act then, in addition to other remedies or penalties prescribed by Applicable Laws, University may terminate this Agreement in accordance with Section 8. Contractor represents and warrants that it is in compliance with and agrees that it will remain in compliance with the provisions of the Immigration Act.
