Medical Leave. Subd. 1. A continuing contract teacher who is unable to teach because of illness or disability, and has exhausted all disability leave credit available, or has become eligible for long-term disability compensation, shall, upon request, be granted a medical leave of absence, without pay, up to one (1) year. The school district may, in its discretion, renew such a leave.
