Merit Raises. The Association recognizes this contract to contain the minimum standards of employment. This contract should not be construed to limit management’s right to reward an individual nurse’s performance over and above the prescribed conditions called for in this Agreement.
Merit Raises. The Association recognizes this Agreement to be the minimum 20 standards of employment. This Agreement should not be construed to limit 21 management's right to reward an individual nurse's performance over and above the 22 prescribed conditions called for in the Agreement.
Merit Raises. Special consideration may be given by the Employer in the form of one (1) merit raise not to exceed the next step in the progression.

Authority merit pay systems based on performance must be fair and equitable and apply to all bargaining unit positions with the same percentage increase provided to classified non-bargaining unit Authority employees. Where an employee is denied a merit increase, he/she shall be informed of the reasons in writing.
