Section 9.3. 18 Upon completion of the probationary period, the employee will be subject to all rights and duties 19 contained in this Agreement retroactive to the hire date.
Section 9.3. 46 Upon completion of the probationary period, the employee will be subject to all rights and duties 47 contained in this Agreement retroactive to the hire date.
Section 9.3. 33 The seniority rights of an employee shall be lost for the following reasons:
Section 9.3. 23 Employees who have completed the probationary period may not be disciplined or discharged without 24 justifiable cause. The issue of justifiable cause shall be determined through the grievance procedure.
Section 9.3. 7 The employee with the greatest seniority shall have preferential rights regarding layoffs and recall 8 from layoff; unless a junior employee possesses substantially greater ability and performance relevant 9 to the personnel decision which is at issue.
Section 9.3. An employee shall forfeit rights of re-employment and standing if the employee does 30 not respond in writing to an offer of re-employment within ten (10) District business work days of 31 the date of the District's “Certificate of Mailing” for the District’s offer of re-employment.
Section 9.3. 14 Should the District decide to discharge, reduce or lay off an employee, the employee shall be notified in 15 writing, whenever possible, prior to the end of the school year.
Section 9.3. 2 The classified employee granted a leave of absence for a one (1) year period must confirm his/her 3 intention to return the next school year to the Human Resource Department, in writing, by no later than 4 March 15. The classified employee granted a leave of absence for a school year period will be 5 expected to remain on leave for the term granted; however, if the employee requests to come back 6 before the term of leave is up, the District must give its mutual consent to do so. If the leave of 7 absence was granted for a period other than a school year period, written confirmation of the 8 employee's intention to return must be made to the Human Resource Department at least thirty (30) 9 working days prior to the expected date of return.
Section 9.3. 24 Absence from work because of pregnancy will be treated as if the employee were sick or otherwise 25 temporarily disabled. Upon request, parents will be granted up to three (3) days on or about the date of 26 birth or adoption of their child. Such leave shall be deducted from the employee's accrued sick leave.
Section 9.3. 45 The District shall establish a fund to pay the insurance deductible for employees in case of vandalism 46 or destruction of personal property while on school property.
