Meritorious Leave. Meritorious leave shall be used for general health, adoptions, child care, family emergencies, education, or for meritorious reasons not otherwise provided herein. In determining whether to grant any such leave, the Employer shall consider: A. The past performance of the teacher. B. The staffing needs and other requirements of the Employer. C. The length of service of the teacher and the probability that the teacher will return to the service of the Employer. D. The purpose of the leave.
